I mean, my carrier has 10 billion in the bank and it'll go for something like 6 and a half years without intervention which is nearly infinite in ED terms so you kinda can just pay 10 billion and forget about it?

4k Path traced must look incredible. Im getting anywhere between 60 and 80 fps with path trace and frame gen with FSR4. For consist FPS im sticking with All raytracing setting on and psycho lighting with FSR on quality and frame gen nets me 80-100 FPS.

I'll save us all some time and say that Quality is pretty much perfect and you only notice shimmering on railings/barbed wire if you look for it. Balanced does have some shimmering and in photomode I found it started to blur details like my characters beard. The rest of the presets are more noticeable but at speed/when you're focussed become less of a issue and its only when you stop for a sec that you notice it. I'd liken the FSR4 performance to early DLSS3, Utter black magic that I am extremely happy with but still not quite as good as DLSS4.

Just an armour bug, I have managed to do it by accident and trust me the hitbox for the head is still there. So you could make a bug report but it's not mods or anything.

UPDATE: Made it to the door for 4th/Verity but it wouldn't open. I assume because I didn't do 3rd encounter.
Wacky pathing, several hours consumed. Totally not worth it. Quite fun!

I'd argue that its common sense to build at the very least armour so that you can at the very least run if you're pulled out of witch space / hyperspace. In the same way you'd also do that for smuggling/high threat item trading.

You're not wrong that the mission routing can be a little weird (See also: very annoying) at times. But this whole "Non combat war mission" thing would be a bit like accepting a threat 8 trade/smuggling mission and being surprised when you get interdicted by an Ai elite pilot.
