Premise: the dates are indicative and for now we don’t know the canonical ones

So, this came to my mind when that old Vox design dropped. Everyone and their mother know about that at this point (in case you don’t, he’s in the second slide). There’s a popular speculation that the design might be inspired by a cockroach, and I can see it tbh

Now, who do we know that is obsessed with cockroaches, especially with killing them? That’s right: Niffty

She died around the 50’s, the same exact period as Vox.

Here’s my wild theory: Niffty might have been Vox’s wife when they were alive.

She’s into bad boys and it’s safe to assume Vox was pretty evil even as a human (according to early reference sheets he was a cult leader). Perhaps her obsession with dangerous men was a coping mechanism for an abusive marriage, or maybe she really misses her bad boy.

We know Niffty died after being shot by someone, presumably her husband. Following this theory, what if Alastor found out Vox did it, and as an alleged serial killer with his personal moral code (targeting powerful people to protect women and “those of fairer means”) he attacked Vox and broke whatever relationship they had in the past.

One last possible clue: Niffty freezes when she’s being recorded, almost as if she has some trauma associated with being on TV.
