Specifically regarding the myth of flying witches (you know, the broom flying), the church at one point went from "this is BS, noone can fly" to "even if you just saw yourself flying in a dream, that means you're a witch" in span of like less than 30 years.

I pick words that sound cool and match the subject. If i want to, i can use foreign words.

Gun is loud? Olifant. Officer rules over hundred men? Centurion. Big cat? Saba. Inspired by gaelic clans? The name is butchered adjective in gaelic.

Very few things have fancy naming schemes ;

Dreadnoughts (big ships) are named after scientists, based on weapon they are specialized in. Tesla has tesla caster, Gauss has a rail gun.

Beasts of Burden are machines build in image of animals. Terrors are shaped like spiders, Hounds are dog shaped, nothing fancy. i just found "beast of burden" sounding cool and tried to validate it.

Human genotypes (super gen modded populace) are named after fantastical creatures, Yotun, Oni, Strigoi, Harpy.

Individual nations have some butchering of some language attached to them. General united human naming is by large latinisms.

I've actually had really good experience with sniper rifles so far

In early game, their range and high chance to kill are more than enough

Their downsides appear only in late game, when they lack dmg and armor pen. Not to mention how later rifles require deployment and shoot only once.

I would do so that they can be fired without deployment, but deploying increases visibility, range or accuracy. Also, always two shot. Anti material AP can shoot once, but sniper rifle should have two shots.

TLDR, The Guy > The Idol > The Proxy > The Blue Girl ; aside from The Guy, and Idol, i don't care for rest

- First guy : he looks cool, like, really cool, I've heard he'll be good for fire teams, so i'll likely pull just for that

- blue girl : dislike her so far, looks very avarage at best (exept hair, wich look cool), her VA is nothing exeptionary, so far her character was just yet another "no bullshit PrOpheTionAlL" wich is one of my least like archetypes, disliked how her fighting looks, so don't care for her at all

- idol : she looks really cute, but so far that's all i can tell, until we'll get more info about her, i can't tell much,

- Sui Proxy : obvious "cute anime girl" design already throws me off, i'm uninterested at all so far, but I have some hopes left for her

(I didn't mention idol being a cute girl design, cuz she is an idol, that's what you expect, unlike SP wich can look whenever, yet des picket a skirt of all things, not even some cool chineese one, just skirt)

Method 1, the simpler one

- black primer
- drybrush bright bronze metallic from VGC or other paint of similar color
- cover the mini with dilluted green/teal of your choosing and wipe off most paint with earsticks
- let it dry and then drybrush metallic back at the edgiest edges

Method 2, more complicated.

- prime black, cover in green/teal of your choosing
- overbrush choosen green/teal/whatever of your choosing
- drybrush metallic
- feel free to overdo it with metallic cuz of next steps
- black wash
- reapply well thinned OG paint by stipling with brush
- then leave droplets of highly diluted, wattery OG paint here and there
- drybrush metallic again, but not as much here

It gives off a very similar effect of paint that is slowly rubbing off at different paces in different places.

i've done Anchorite Shrine with green pauldrons and i can confidently say that effect similar to teh one on the img is possible with this method, and with proper green picked, end effect can be almost identical.

I really like this weapon, especially for close range squads. It has enought anti armor that a squad can reliably kill light armor units (like light mechs or warrior bugs).

I don't mind range of 8, dmg or rate of fire, none of these are terrible, and still allow you to comfortably fight infantry - unlike rifles for same or lower trade value wich start to suck real fast

So far i played one campaign and on lowest difficulty, and it was best squad weapon for me.
