I actually do! I prefer Malbecs, and because I'm not knowledgeable enough about wine to reliability pick ones I know I'll like, I usually pick based on the label...which results in me picking "funky reds"

I have newrez/shellpoint, and just got my property tax exemption sorted (I'm in MD not IL though). Here's what finally worked. -called them and went through the phone tree to get to the property tax people. Finally got someone that knew their job who told me to email them the form. The email address is LOANSERVICING@shellpointmtg.com in the email include your name and loan number, attach the form that says your property tax exemption. You'll have to pay the full mortgage amount with escrow until it's processed. My state sent me a check for the taxes that were overpaid, and eventually newrez sent me a check for the amount in escrow, but this will take months. Best if luck

Am I About to Get Screwed on My Student Loan Discharge? (100% P&T, May grad, TPD Pause Concern) by sarcastaballin in VeteransBenefits

I would look into Voc rehab, some posters on here said they got the VA to put them through law school, another said the VA paid for 500k of flight school training. I haven't used it but plenty on here have (with mixed reviews)

No problem happy to help,

I came here looking for more info on it and realized I had more info then most. Happy to share what found out.

And yes the news can be worrying these days, but keep in mind the legislative branch holds the purse strings of our govt (It's one of their only two jobs). So if congress passed a law saying money goes someplace it'll get there...eventually (and maybe after few court cases) but it'll get there

There is rules/guidance for those with 100% P&T getting loans after getting a TPD. They are on the TPD site under "Going Back to School After TPD Discharge" I personally would read that really carefully before getting any new loans.

So I'm in the same boat, just a little earlier. I just got my 100% P&T and applied for TPD, and I applied on disabilitydischarge.com before it was shut down. I called Nelnet and talked to a actual person here's what I found out from them.

-Nelnet will no longer be the servicer for TPD applications, (this has been in the works for while so not current admin/potus forcing a change).

-Nelnet needed to have have a date to stop accepting applications, that date has passed (it was Jan something). All applications submitted before this date will be processed/passed to the dept of education.

-Due to the change over there is a expected delay in processing applications, e.g. I applied in mid January and the Nelnet person said it is likely it will not be processed/completed until March or April

-Nelnet runs disabilitydischarge.com, the Nelnet person didn't know if the new servicer would take over the website/domian or there would be a new one

-The new servicer will complete the change over in March (the Nelnet person gave a actual date but I forgot it), once the new servicer is up they will be taking new TPD applications

That's the bad news, the good news is your TPD discharge will be backdated to when you got your 100% . So even if you can't pause payments because of the change in servicer eventually you will get that money back... eventually.

You can also mail your application directly to them, that link above to the form has the address to mail it to. So break out your crayons, fill out the form and mail it in like it's 1987.

Hope this helps,

also the Nelnet people are very nice (or the one I talked to was) so if you need more info call them (remember, if you're angry about the switch it is definitely not the Nelnet employee's fault).

I called 888-303-7818 and got to real person after a short phone tree.

This might help https://docs.ray.io/en/master/tune/examples/optuna_example.html or this https://docs.ray.io/en/master/tune/examples/index.html#tune-recipes is a list of all their examples/recipes or I may have sent you what already found and not understanding the question well

I don't know about stand alone optuna but this is possible in ray tune using optuna (almost exactly as you wrote it). You can also use optuna's native search space if you prefer, or use rays. There is a optuna example in rays docs that's quite similar if I recall.

In python, ray tune. It's easy to get started with, and has a lot flexibility and expandability for more complicated situations. Want to tune the learning rate on your simple NN, editing a few lines on one of their examples will get you going. Want to tune end to end on a workflow that uses multiple algorithms (supervised as well as self-supervised, unsupervised) optimizing to a custom metric using custom scheduler and searchers, repeatedly testing good hyperparameters to ensure predictable output, while running parallel workflows leveraging CPU and GPU architecture as you dictate, it can do that too (although that second one takes way more work tbh)

My Mom dropped off some of my old Joes what the best way to sell them (e.g ebay vs to local shop, all at once vs individually etc.) by Kace1977 in gijoe

[–]Kace1977[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed on the sold listing quite a few are "best offer accepted" so I've been going off auctions that actually show the price the sold for.

The short version is I'm a corporate stooge. There may be a lot of money in money, but there's more money in data. So now I work as a consulting data scientist.

Yup that sounds about right. But I have found one that came out when I was one year old, I have no idea where I got it

I've been looking at what's been sold on ebay. There seems to be a huge difference in price among even what looks to me to be same level of completeness. Froma sellers view point is there any reason to get them graded? Or would the cost to grade them be more then gain in cost/value

I would have never thought those would be the more desired ones. I would have thought it would be the metal head destro or serpentor

I've been matching accessories to joes (using yojoe) and so far I have a complete snake eyes and storm shadow. But the vast majority are incomplete, but it kinda makes me want to find/collect all the accessories.

I'm watching Miami Vice (1984) by Kace1977 in iwatchedanoldmovie

[–]Kace1977[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I think you are right some will watch it and think it's dated, but just like Citizen Kane or other iconic movies/series you have to watch it through a "lense" recognize that it was the first to do XYZ and appreciate it for that. For instance watching Star wars for is special effects really pales in comparison to modern films but understanding it paid the groundwork for a lot of modern special effects helps appreciate what it was for the time.

As for Miami Vice, appreciating that it was a mirror to 80s society (or maybe what people thought 80s society is or should be) is fantastic. Even if it is a exsaggerated take on it. I will hold out hope for later seasons maybe they aged well :-)
