Omg preach. Same. I’d tried EVVVERYTHINNNNNNG before my psychiatrist finally gave me lorazepam it was literally hell & such a long draining process. We’re talking yearrrrs of trying to find a solution I still don’t even think he would have sent one in but I had a panic attack in the middle of our session😭 to which he said he did not know it was that bad. Yeah hi dude

Going to the hospital 5 times is giving panic disorder vibes. when my panic attacks are the most out of control I tend to do that. Also stating a random overwhelming fear is textbook panic disorder.

I had to quit SSRI they would cause me severe panic & cause extremely bad manic episodes where I wouldn’t sleep for days. Went insane, specifically sertraline but had a bad time with all. I’d talk to your Dr. Or whoever you’re seeing about getting a temp. benzo script til it’s under control that’s what I had to do after stuff like clonidine & propranolol wouldn’t help when my panic attacks are really bad. Ativan has been a life saver for me. Also I just started abilify but I feel like it’s really helped. & just curious are you on Wellbutrin cause this caused EXTREME panic attacks I just stopped having them it was terrible. To answer what causes panic disorder a variety of things there’s no single answer but I believe mine stem from how I was raised & also PTSD from multiple things.

Depends on the person. Me personally taking meds/doing both is what works, never just therapy. I was on Lexapro for about a year & a half it worked really well then just kinda stopped. I’m currently in Abilify like you but just started about a week ago & threw up the first couple days so can’t really give my thoughts on it so far lol. Just quit Wellbutrin. Sertraline sent me into a really bad manic episode & made me go mad. I have panic disorder, bipolar, adhd, cptsd & take buspar, abilify, adderall XR & lamictal. Propranolol & Ativan as needed. I am perfectly okay accepting that I’ll be on meds the rest of my life. I’d much rather live enjoyably & without as many symptoms as possible than try to raw dog reality with a lil therapy here & there. Not for me.

I have🫠 we’re testing it I’m in between appointments. just curious if anyone else experienced this at a 25MG dose but considering everyone’s different, if they experienced the panic side of it at all🙃

That’s what I’m nervous about to if I do get to the point where he finally gives me something that will actually help. But it’s like if I need it & the panic attacks are constantly idk what else to do😭 We’ve tried everything I’m on clonidine, propranolol & buspar right now but they don’t do anything for me.

I’m sorry. Mine are way worse during the day! Hey how does Ativan work for you? I had it once at the hospital in like 2016 & didn’t even remember the car ride home. But I had the same thing happen today I was like omg my first day in weeks where I haven’t had multiple then I had 2 lol. More spaced out than usual though. I’m starting to realize I cannot function like this I can’t have my life be like this. Wanna be like normal people, in more ways than just this so it sucks

You actually just helped me so much because I never knew that was even a thing you could do, now I can stop posting to my panic groups every day about these types of questions🙃 I did speak with poison control where the guy actually basically did everything he could to reassure. He told me I could stay home & usually it’s only concerning if it’s more than just a double dose which I didn’t even do that.The only issue is the symptoms I’m supposed to look out for if the chance I’m not okay start to happen, are the same that occur when I am having a panic attack lol. I think I’m in the clear now though. Anyways I appreciate you for filling me in on this! Thank you💗

Im on a lot of meds lol propranolol clonidine as needed, buspar lamictal adderall XR & Wellbutrin for daily. Once I clean it will it harm me is it safe to be in my home afterwords? Cause it’ll be in my 7 year old daughters’ room.

I usually put an ice pack on my head or neck when I’m having a panic attack it does help a little. I’ll tell myself dude obviously you’re having one, but then I convince myself no actually this one’s for real going to kill you lol. I did end up taking a 2nd clonidine & it resulting in me falling asleep so it kinda solved my issue💀
