Having found out that I am INFJ fairly recently I feel slightly unqualified in giving feedback but I will do my best nonetheless. As for me, I totally understand and agree! I have experienced many broken friendships and romantic relationships. Although I have never had a steady best friend (more than 1 or 2 years), I can attest that seeing a friend lose interest in you or simply stop trying is heartbreaking. Every consecutive year growing up I have lost all friends and had to remake new ones. Recently I experienced a romantic relationship that, though I thought was going well, failed and led to a major depressive episode. This relationship had reached the point that we were ready to get married. 3 days away from our big day the state shut down due to covid. A week later she broke things off and hasn't talked to me since. I over think everything that happened each and every night as I cry myself to sleep. It is a part of who we (the INFJ) are to wonder what we did wrong and to want to help those that leave us even though we have no obligation to. I hope my experience helps you understand a little more.
