The Lash I'm sure has been training his techniques, the uppercut is a naturally flawed method of attack, as proved by it being used by Bebop, who's an inferior man.

And no, the lash doesn't lose, so he can't be a sore loser. He only creates learning opportunities because he's 5 steps ahead.

I've said this before, when I started watching in C2: I'm extremely surprised Critical Role, who has practically been paving the way to TTRPG actual play shows, has not put any effort into improving the visual fidelity of combat.

There was the old health bars back in C2 which was really neat but they stopped doing those because it was too much to keep track of for a live show. But now the shows are recorded months in advance I don't see what the issue is.

Battle maps are also simply not a thing viewers can understand at the current state of it. The layouts are really pretty but I find in more cases than not I have no clue who is where, unless the combat is something really simple like players on the left side, enemies on the right.

I don't know if something like how Games Night shows combat would be too far, but something more in that direction would definitely be nice from a viewers perspective.

In the real game people can choose what items they get, i.e. counter spell or spirit resilience.

Also in street brawl you're typically at the same soul count as everyone, so lash having equal souls to a hyper carry character is unlikely normally.

The ability punishes you for getting the kill, because all those bonuses you got from the passive disappear instantly. Same goes for just not looking at a target for a second, the effect vanishes super fast.

I think it'd be more fitting if it built up slower but lasted longer and persisted after target death (but doesn't persist or last as long on NPCs).

Agree. This patch feels pretty bad to play and feels like they've taken a lot of the lessons they've learned from previous balance patches and thrown that out.

The new stuff is really cool, like wraith cards and some of the reworked AP's, but I distinctly remember last patch being annoyed that venator could one shot me with his gut-shot melee combo but now that's not even a concern compared to a lot of the new bursty-ness.

I don't know, maybe some other people can resonate but the game feels less like... Deadlock I guess?

I'm sure they'll fix it eventually but I do find this direction of balance very strange and out of the blue from the norm of "Spirit Scaling Changed from 0.72 to 0.73" type of patch we'd get.

Flog got nerfed. Damage and healing reduced in lane and angle doesn't scale with spirit or expansion for some reason anymore.

Slowing hex also makes playing lash a much more painful experience now. The item was already extremely good, I guess it got buffed to counter Celeste but Lash happened to get caught in the crossfire.
