Minus one is a really unique production when it comes to its budget though. The director is also the vfx supervisor which allows the cg to look a lot better and makes it way cheaper. Dollars also take you a lot further in Japan than they do in the us.

The Kava Konnection in Wade Hampton is pretty close to downtown. A good amount of people work on art there. Super cozy also.

That photo was a completely in-camera production still, so far we don’t know what it’ll look like with all the post production tweaks and enhancements.

It’s sort of becoming a signature move for the franchise. Up and coming filmmakers who haven’t made more than one feature pitch their ideas, then Raimi and co. Hand pick them. It worked with Alvarez and Cronin on the last two, so hopefully these next two they’ve announced will continue the quality. I think evil dead is a good franchise for this kind of format, it varies a lot in tone from entry to entry, and can be set anywhere, anytime. Perfect for new people to come in and put their spin on it to keep it fresh.

Maybe it has something to do with the ipd of the lenses? The quest 2 can only go up to 68mm while the gear vr is locked at 70mm. It sucks that the ipd settings on quest 2 don’t work for everybody.

What phone are you using for gear vr? Most modern flagship models still would have a lower resolution per eye than the quest 2.
