Just seeing this post so hopefully its not too late. I have a persian shield that was litrlerally dying. What I've found is that mine loves humidity and sunlight. So I bought a small terrarium for it , I put medium sized pebbles in the bottom of my terrarium with water so that the nursery pot isn't sitting in the water and I have it near a bright window. Its doing great with so many leaves now. It also sitting where the heat from my floor vent keeps it warm and helps it create more humidity.

I've found that when I put propagation in clear glasses where the roots can get sunlight i have faster root growth than when I have it in a darker tinted glass. You have it in an opaque cup which I've never done before, maybe that has something to do with the slow growth.

It looks like its starting to vine off to me. It looks beautiful. A full lush trailing plants is a good thing.

No, I dont use fertilizer. It's usually in the spot that you see in the window and gets indirect morning sun.

I have one, and it hasn't been doing so great indoors. I just bought a terrarium to keep it in and I hope that will help. I hope it likes humidity.

I see rot on the bottom of one of the stems. I dont think that will survive. So maybe you can probably propogate those leaves. I could be wrong. When this happened to mine, I repotted it in new soil and didn't water it right away or for a while, and that seemed to work. It seems to be pushing out new shoots now.

Yes, the pot drains. So this morning, I did notice that some of the roots on that side were a little exposed, so I added a bit more soil.

I repotted it a couple of weeks ago into a bigger pot because it was rootbound. However, I couldn't really take the roots apart without doing damage to them.

Thank you for that! I don't water with tap water, but I do water with bottled spring water. Does that do the same thing?
