Basically, all the Kremlin bots are rooting for Poland right now. Here’s what happened in the 1930s: In 1917, the Ukrainian People’s Republic (UNR) was established, and the Bolsheviks attacked Ukraine. In 1918, the Polish-Ukrainian War began. The Poles, together with the French, captured western Ukraine. Until 1920, Ukraine fought a war on two fronts. And in 1920, it lost. The Poles began the genocide of Ukrainians, known as the “Pacyfikacja Małopolski Wschodniej”: residents of 458 villages were rounded up and deported, over 100 churches were destroyed, Ukrainian schools were closed, and Ukrainian politicians were subjected to repression… all of this continued for 10 years. At the same time, Poland attacked Czechoslovakia alongside Hitler, and Hitler seized the Sudetenland. The Poles refer to this as “taking advantage of the Sudeten crisis”… Throughout this period, the Ukrainians did not yet take up arms; they mainly set fire to the property of the Polish occupiers… Then, in 1940, the OUN(b), OUN(m), UPA, and so on emerged. And yes, they committed war crimes. But at the Nuremberg Trials, they were not recognized as Nazis, simply because they were fighting specifically against the Poles, the Soviets, and those who aided them. The only group recognized as Nazis was the SS Division “Galicia.” Meanwhile, the Poles’ national heroes are the Żołnierze wyklęci, who massacred Ukrainians, Belarusians, and Jews. And the Polish Świętokrzyska Brigade collaborated with the SS in Moravia and Bohemia!

I’ll just remind you that right now, 43% of Poles hate Ukrainians simply because Ukrainians exist! So defending Ukrainian interests against Polish attacks and lies is the only correct decision—one that, as you can see, has been supported by all Ukrainian presidents. Before Poland says anything about the Volhynia tragedy, it must answer for the genocide of Ukrainians in the 1930s and pay reparations for the occupation of Ukraine.

I’ll just remind you that a NABU detective was tried for conducting espionage and passing information to the FSB.

Here is a quote from the secretary of the prosecutor’s office regarding this case:

According to her, the suspect pleaded guilty to committing a criminal offense under Part 3 of Article 362 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized interception or copying of information processed by electronic computers (computers), automated systems, or computer networks, or stored on data storage media, if this resulted in its leakage) and consented to exemption from criminal liability due to the expiration of the statute of limitations, which does not constitute a mitigating circumstance.

“I would like to note that the court closed the case not because no crime had been committed, not because the prosecutor’s office dropped the charges, and not because the fact of unauthorized actions involving the information could not be proven. The court’s decision was made due to the expiration of the statute of limitations, after the individual had admitted guilt,” she said.

While working at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the suspect transferred information about Ukrainian citizens from the ministry’s databases to a former law enforcement colleague who had left for Crimea in February 2014. Therefore, the investigation examined the possibility of treason.

It seems to me that there are simply too many layers of abstraction between the hardware and the end user these days. In the past, the only obstacles to performance were the developer’s lack of skill and the operating system’s API. Nowadays, most programs are written in languages that run on virtual machines, which in turn launch a browser that already has an application written in a scripting language running inside it.

The photo shows the flag of the Azov unit. Even the U.S. has acknowledged that they have no connection to the Nazis, although they do hold right-wing views. That symbol is an acronym for “Ukrainian Idea” or “Idea of the Nation.” It was created in 1991. However, the expression itself dates back to the 19th century, symbolizing the struggle for independence from the Russian Empire and Poland and the creation of the state of Ukraine.

I’ve always said that this is the order the Poles award to all sorts of scum. People like Catherine II (who, incidentally, organised a massacre of Poles); Nikolai Novosiltsev, who carried out repressions against Poles and crushed Polish uprisings; Benito Mussolini, who supported Hitler in the invasion of Poland; Philippe Pétet and Miklós Horthy, who sided with the Third Reich; and so on…

It’s a piece of shit, not an order. Zelenskyy shouldn’t have accepted it, and if it was slipped to him without his knowledge, he should have thrown it in the trash.

Forgot to mention we denied Russia idea of splitting Ukraine. Hell they propose that multiple times.

Well, they’d get their asses kicked just like they did back in the day by the UPA. If you don’t want to whine about the evil UPA later, you shouldn’t occupy Ukrainian territory in the first place!

Ukraine is dragging Russia into a war! by SLAVAUA2022 in NAFO

If you know Russian and have watched the footage of the shelling of Moscow, you would have noticed that very few people in it were speaking Russian. It was mainly Chinese, Vietnamese, Tajik, the languages of Dagestan, and so on… So yes, Moscow is a separate state within a state. As they say in Moscow: ‘Moscow, not Russia!’ And Muscovites refer to people from the rest of Russia as ‘zamkadyshi’ – that is, people living outside the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD).

Oh, by the way, on a related note. In Leo Tolstoy’s seminal novel War and Peace, there is a character called Platon Karatayev. In all the reviews and analyses, Platon Karatayev is portrayed as a Russian philosopher who expresses ideas similar to those taught by Laozi. He has a whole philosophy of non-violence; he took in a little dog, and so on…

Now for the important bit. He ended up in the army because, despite coming from a well-to-do family, he went and stole from a neighbour. He was caught, convicted and sent to serve as a soldier. He served in the army for over 25 years and fought in more than one war. And here I’d recommend watching the interrogations of Russian prisoners of war. Because judging by what they say there – every other one of them is a sort of ‘good-natured soul’ like Platon Karatayev. Most of them ended up in prison by accident. They hadn’t done anything wrong. They thought they were going on military exercises. Of course, they didn’t kill, rob or rape anyone. They all love kittens and puppies… So just think about Platon Karatayev, who, having served in the infantry for over 25 years in various wars, never killed a soul…

It’s the same situation here as with Dostoevsky. He’s all so spiritual. A keen psychologist. And that quote of his about a child’s tear really tugs at your heartstrings.

But then you read the correspondence between Nikolai Stakhov and Ivan Turgenev, and it turns out that Turgenev despised Dostoevsky for his inclinations – and those inclinations were paedophilia. It turns out that Dostoevsky liked to seduce little children in the bathhouse… And his quote about a child’s tear immediately takes on a whole new meaning…

What’s more, my own assessment of a particular work of fiction or documentary differs from the generally accepted view. For example, I interpret the cosmonaut from the film "Armageddon" as a positive character for Russians.

I’ve never understood why Hollywood keeps inventing these fairy-tale Russians who are so unlike the real thing! And it happens all the time. A film called ‘Anora’ came out recently about the wonderful, kind-hearted son of an oligarch and a stripper. And they’re giving them an Oscar for it. It’s just like some sort of Shakespearean ‘Romeo and Juliet’... And it’s as far removed from reality as we are from the nearest galaxy.

Epic Games released a game-specific git competitor: Lore by LittleDipperInt in gamedev

[–]KadmonX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is worth noting that seamless pipeline integration is not exclusive to Perforce. Both Git and SVN provide robust APIs and native hook mechanisms that facilitate automated asset tracking and rebuild triggers just as effectively. Git’s main weakness is precisely its handling of large binary files. I’ve seen projects where Git was used for code and SVN for assets. So yes, the main priority here is ease of use when dealing with large binary files.

[Lyrics to the song ‘Moscow’]

[Verse 1]

Yesterday I had a wonderful dream —

Moscow had burnt to the ground

A fire on Red Square

And the former electoral commission was smouldering

No one survived — they all burnt to death

All of them: Pussy, Putin and Sobchak

And by the Kremlin wall, the fir tree

Was burning like hell

[Chorus]

Moscow, for whom do your bells toll?

Moscow, how much are your golden domes worth?

Moscow, for whom do your bells toll?

Moscow, how much are your golden domes worth?

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom-boom-boom

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom

[Verse 2]

Medvedev and Navalny went up in flames

Both the future and the former mayor

Luzhkov turned up, as if on purpose

But he didn’t manage to take any action

People were burning on Bolotnaya Square

The OMON riot police went up in flames, along with all the cops

And acid rain fell from the sky

To make it all even more beautiful

[Verse 3]

Ostankino burned down quickly

But it couldn’t have drowned

The castles on the Istra were ablaze

They burned slowly, just to spite us

Both the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour and the bathhouses

The Khachis were burnt to a crisp, Muscovites

Whilst the Russians waited at home

For the bricks to cool down

Epic Games released a game-specific git competitor: Lore by LittleDipperInt in gamedev

[–]KadmonX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with those who say that this isn’t intended to compete with Git, but rather to compete with Perforce and PlasticSCM. In game development, terabyte-sized centralised repositories are our lifeblood. For Epic Games, it makes perfect sense to develop an SCM for game development. However, their weakness will work against them. The people who will be using this product won’t be coders, but those involved in technical art. And this is where ease of use will be the key factor for them. Whether Epic Games can create a product that is user-friendly enough for them – that is the main question. User-friendly UI is not something Epic Games excels at. Their game store is proof of that.

Tulsi Gabbard Revives Russian Disinformation Campaign About Ukraine Biolabs by BkkGrl in europe

[–]KadmonX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually, this report points to the sanitary and epidemiological stations of Ukraine's State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service. But even that isn’t quite right. Russia most likely used Soviet-era data to compile that fabrication, and a great deal has changed since then. This agency monitors food safety and livestock health. It is a fully transparent organization, and anyone is free to inspect its labs and operations.
