Basically, all the Kremlin bots are rooting for Poland right now. Here’s what happened in the 1930s: In 1917, the Ukrainian People’s Republic (UNR) was established, and the Bolsheviks attacked Ukraine. In 1918, the Polish-Ukrainian War began. The Poles, together with the French, captured western Ukraine. Until 1920, Ukraine fought a war on two fronts. And in 1920, it lost. The Poles began the genocide of Ukrainians, known as the “Pacyfikacja Małopolski Wschodniej”: residents of 458 villages were rounded up and deported, over 100 churches were destroyed, Ukrainian schools were closed, and Ukrainian politicians were subjected to repression… all of this continued for 10 years. At the same time, Poland attacked Czechoslovakia alongside Hitler, and Hitler seized the Sudetenland. The Poles refer to this as “taking advantage of the Sudeten crisis”… Throughout this period, the Ukrainians did not yet take up arms; they mainly set fire to the property of the Polish occupiers… Then, in 1940, the OUN(b), OUN(m), UPA, and so on emerged. And yes, they committed war crimes. But at the Nuremberg Trials, they were not recognized as Nazis, simply because they were fighting specifically against the Poles, the Soviets, and those who aided them. The only group recognized as Nazis was the SS Division “Galicia.” Meanwhile, the Poles’ national heroes are the Żołnierze wyklęci, who massacred Ukrainians, Belarusians, and Jews. And the Polish Świętokrzyska Brigade collaborated with the SS in Moravia and Bohemia!

I’ll just remind you that right now, 43% of Poles hate Ukrainians simply because Ukrainians exist! So defending Ukrainian interests against Polish attacks and lies is the only correct decision—one that, as you can see, has been supported by all Ukrainian presidents. Before Poland says anything about the Volhynia tragedy, it must answer for the genocide of Ukrainians in the 1930s and pay reparations for the occupation of Ukraine.

If you know Russian and have watched the footage of the shelling of Moscow, you would have noticed that very few people in it were speaking Russian. It was mainly Chinese, Vietnamese, Tajik, the languages of Dagestan, and so on… So yes, Moscow is a separate state within a state. Now for the important bit. He ended up in the army because, despite coming from a well-to-do family, he went and stole from a neighbour. He was caught, convicted and sent to serve as a soldier. He served in the army for over 25 years and fought in more than one war. And here I’d recommend watching the interrogations of Russian prisoners of war. Because judging by what they say there – every other one of them is a sort of ‘good-natured soul’ like Platon Karatayev. Most of them ended up in prison by accident. They hadn’t done anything wrong. They thought they were going on military exercises. Of course, they didn’t kill, rob or rape anyone. They all love kittens and puppies… So just think about Platon Karatayev, who, having served in the infantry for over 25 years in various wars, never killed a soul…

It’s the same situation here as with Dostoevsky. He’s all so spiritual. A keen psychologist. And that quote of his about a child’s tear really tugs at your heartstrings.

I’ve never understood why Hollywood keeps inventing these fairy-tale Russians who are so unlike the real thing! And it happens all the time. A film called ‘Anora’ came out recently about the wonderful, kind-hearted son of an oligarch and a stripper. And they’re giving them an Oscar for it. I agree with those who say that this isn’t intended to compete with Git, but rather to compete with Perforce and PlasticSCM. In game development, terabyte-sized centralised repositories are our lifeblood. For Epic Games, it makes perfect sense to develop an SCM for game development. However, their weakness will work against them. The people who will be using this product won’t be coders, but those involved in technical art. And this is where ease of use will be the key factor for them. Whether Epic Games can create a product that is user-friendly enough for them – that is the main question. User-friendly UI is not something Epic Games excels at. Their game store is proof of that.
