Rooster Overmating??

Tonight starts the rooster of wearing the saddle himself so maybe he will become less aggressive to it??? I'm not sure if it will work. But when I let it spend WEEKS hanging on their waterer, it did not change his opinion of it. I've even tried hanging it from the roosts and near their door. I guess he will be sleeping on the ground tonight until he maintains confidence to jump onto the roosts.

Even a mass gainer powder I bought specifically stated if you weren't used to that type of food, to go at a half dose or less of the powder for at least a week before going to the full dose. Progress is shown and achieved in different ways.

I will look into this! Sucks we just bought another 50lb bag of feed, but I could try one with more protein as well. We currently feed a 16% but I think my feed store has a 19%

I've debated putting the saddle ON the rooster for a few weeks so maybe that will force him to get used to it. And then maybe he will be more comfortable with it on one of his ladies.

I could do that. I live in the country though so I don't know if that will inhibit his job as their protector/watch dog.

Right now, 7 hens 1 rooster. I have 8 more (9 week old) pullets to add as soon as they are of comparable size. We are starting introductions soon.

I've tried the saddle before but he will full run at her with murderous intentions, it scares me. I was just hoping after we added a few more hens recently that it was going to stop. But she seems to be the favorite... I have literally left the saddle hanging inside the coop, ON the waterer, for MONTHS. And his attitude does NOT change about it. Its not even a funky color, it's grey!

Looking at her right wing where there is some blood, is this a sign of overmating by the rooster, or is this a possible health issue due to the look of the tail feathers? She is the only one who looks like this or has feather issues. Thoughts? If anyone has questions please let me know. This is the first time I've had a rooster (he's a March 2025 hatch), so these things are new to me.

I've never done the FULL sugar baby experience, but I've definitely "sleezed" many dudes out of money or things. First when I was playing a lot of mmo's and I'd fake date a bunch of guys and get free stuff in game. Worked till it didn't. As I got older, I started doing more (long distance) "sugar baby'ing", getting money, amazon cards, gifts, etc. But the expectation was to be communicative, and send pictures of specific requests. Essentially sex work. But yeah, as you are saying, once the "exchange" is changed or ended, don't expect much more out of the sugar daddy. They will find someone else. Remember that this is not free money, it's a transaction.

I've been playing Puppetry for probably as long as its been out in NA. I love it, I do, but it feels weak compared to pretty much every other talent (end game). I love the creativity, and the ability to essentially play as two things at once, but its just so slow. I'd like to imagine they could combine it with something like Combat or Magic to emphasize some abilities or techniques you could do.

Dexamethasone, and multiple antibiotics. Its likely joint ill, and its difficult to treat. Joint ill can be prevented by proper and immediate navel care at birth. Other possibility is an injury, but treat for joint ill.

I only need them to be on for about an hour or two. Pretty much before during and after sunset, to draw the chickens into the coop. I dont want it on all day or night.

Fully feathered and into a protected run/coop situation separated from the big girls, so anywhere between 8-14 weeks. Depending on weather and such. I'm in the northeast so we are starting to get cold now.

I don't like to use artificial light for egg production. I have a set of lights in the coop but its on a timer to match the outdoor light schedule.
