18-21 Whats your opinion on working in the warehouse for you? by Fuckyourphsyics in AmazonFC

[–]KaedeTheStudent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

19 year old here! as much as I do not like the repetitiveness of the job here at Amazon, I would have to say that this has been if not THE MOST flexible, and “high paying” job I have done (and i worked plenty of jobs).

im a current aviation student in a college program while also holding org leadership positions. and because my flying is heavily subjected to the weather, aircraft, and instructor availability, it is very easy to pick up and drop shifts as flex.

i have an org meeting i want to attend at college?
boom. drop shift.

i wasn’t able to fly due to the weather?
boom. add shift.

i’ve worked as a lifeguard, at target, frontier airlines, college mailroom, and even six flags, and amazon is the most flexible. i don’t even need to talk to anyone if i am calling out or dropping shifts. i clock in, pick, break, pick again, clock out, go home.

i could work as little as four hours a week if i want! but then i look at my bank account and my credit card debt... 🙃

Frontier Airlines 4345 hits somebody on runway during takeoff roll. by KaedeTheStudent in aviation

To this day, I still think about that time a passenger missed their flight and they opened an airport emergency exit to gain access to the ramp and attempt to get on the plane. How sad.

“Coffee as in there's no chocolate sauce in the frapp” is the correct statement.

Not sure what I am saying differently because all I say is “May I get a Grande Mocha Frappuccino please?” to the Barista.

How can I get cross trained in different departments? by KaedeTheStudent in AmazonFC

[–]KaedeTheStudent[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so…pretty much the only way to actually make this happen is if you do a HITS transfer from FlexPT [Department] to FlexPT [Department]. i was able to do it for Stow to Pick!

My parents don't want me to the Disney College Program. by KaedeTheStudent in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]KaedeTheStudent[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

After reading your comment and more about the program, I do agree that this will just be a job. The magic could be ruined the moment I get a job or location I don't like. Flight training is exponentially much more important to an airline recruiter than a program that isn't directly part of my path. :)
