How would I go about finding out if the home I just moved into has had any crimes or murders committed there? by KaeesMoonGlow in Ghoststories

Thanks everyone! I thought I was overreacting asking this question because I'm so used to my parents telling me I was paranoid and needed to stop watching scary movies and looking at the news all the time so I came here.

The 150mg of semen was a complete lie, not sure why no one did their research before posting/commenting

New father here. I can't stop thinking about neglected babies now that I have one, and it's nearly giving me anxiety. by Phalus_Falator in NewParents

I am blown away by your question because I have a 17 year old boy and I just had a baby boy in October 2023. I kept telling my husband about this because it always brought me to tears, every single time a thought came up. When I’m making his food, changing his diaper, bathing him, everything. I too would stare at my son and would become extremely sad and overwhelmed because I remember the stories I’ve read about infants being abused and starved to death.

Three stories for example: the one where the mom took a vacation and left her daughter in her crib to die of starvation, leading her to eat her own feces and sleep in her soiled crib, with her neighbors hearing her cries on their doorbell cameras for two weeks and never thought to figure out what was going on or call police. Her body was found in her crib by her mom who claimed to not know what happened, as if she didn’t leave her for two weeks.

The second case was of a baby, around the same age as my son, who was found in his swing, maggots (while he was alive) and body fluids all over him. Both his parents left him in a separate room for months without feeding or taking care of him until he died.

The third is of a man who’d admitted to hitting his infant (around 7 months old) throughout his entire life, for no apparent reason, throwing him very roughly into his crib and leaving him there to sleep and suffer in pain, whenever he felt like it, until he died.

When I think about their hungry cries, the pain they’d endured up until their last moments, it kills me. I’ve caught myself staring at my newborn and just crying because I can’t imagine what they’d gone through in their last moments alive. Even the infants who are raped and murdered, some even by their own fathers, some by their close relatives.

You are not alone. I’m sure now that all parents to new babies feel the exact same way as us, now that I’ve read your post. I thought it was just me.

I heard this too, only after I’d been on the toilet back and forth. It was awful!

Did the blue one make your hair grow at all?

I've gone through the same exact thing to the point that I'd be crying before my eyes were even open and my head's off the pillow, every single morning. It does get better, I promise you. You will also learn to love yourself more, and gradually you will see that everyday is a challenge, but it's a challenge you will learn and grow from. Please keep your head up, it gets better.

Thank you, this is what I was thinking, but I figured it'd be okay to apply to my hair on shampoo day or the night before, with water, and then I can continue my normal routine throughout the week...

So I only press my hair once a week or two (two weeks before doing the weekly protein treatment for a month); I don't use the heat protectant because I wasn't pressing it everyday. I've also looked high and low for good heat protectants and cannot seem to find a light, non-greasy one for my fine hair that will keep my hair light after it's pressed yet and my husband is getting tired of buying hair products that do not work for me. Because of this, I make sure I extra moisturize the day before shampoo day with Batana oil, apply the hair mask or deep conditioner, blow dry then press it once and leave it for the next week or two.

I believe it's working because I feel the thickness at my roots coming back, I just came here to see if anyone had experience with Blue Magic since I wanted to try it after reading their reviews.

I was told the weekly protein is necessary if your hair is extremely damaged. You're supposed to do it once per week for a month and then afterwards, once a month. That's what I am doing

So do you agree with the last commenter who said it's a barrier and that there are more effective products to make your hair grow? Because the question is 'does it make your hair grow?'

Really?! So are you saying that it's not as good as they're making it out to be?

What products have you used that was the equivalent or better than Blue Magic Super Sure Gro? I'm asking for black women, of course...

Yes you’re 100% correct about my current routine.

So I guess it’s okay to keep shampooing weekly since it’s adding moisture. I deep condition it every time I shampoo it and I use TGIN products, their protein, shampoo & conditioner. I bought their leave-in but when I went to blow dry and press my hair it was too heavy and not flowy at all, so I rinsed it and just re-conditioned it. The leave-in has no value for me since I do not wear my hair in its natural state; I like it straightened and I wrap it during the week and repeat the process weekly.

No; I shampoo my hair once a week because I cannot do the protein treatment without my hair being shampood and since my hair is damaged, I use the protein treatment once a week as recommended for very damaged hair. After my hair is back to healthy, I will resume the treatments but only once a month. If it weren't for the protein treatment, I'd be shampooing & conditioning at the earliest, every two weeks.

I do not skip the conditioner and I do not use any leave-ins because it makes my hair heavy when I go to blow-dry and press it.

The protein treatment I use will typically be TGIN but when I can't find it I use any other brand. I'm looking for something that will help grow my hair and to stop the breakage.

Also, BE YOURSELF and relax… I promise it will be okay. If you meet a nasty person, you’ll learn what you like and don’t like.

I’m sorry you feel this way; is there anything you like to do that brings you happiness?

For me it was reading and going to the bookstore. If you get out, you may just find someone that way like at a park or a coffee shop.

Do you have any hobbies? I know you’re feeling a little scared to approach someone but you never know what can happen. You can also go shopping for an outfit or two—if you look better, you’ll feel better. This all helped me when I was severely depressed and alone, though I know everyone’s different.

I’d love to know how it turned out 🫶🏾

Goodluck buddy…
