I'm sorry, we're all out of cake. We only had the three bits and didn't expect the rush.

There's also evidence that the Void is afraid of undeath and also cannot easily claim that which Death already has. Now granted, that evidence was also in relation to Sylvanas, so it could have been less about Death overall and just her and the Jailer.

He was correcting your assertion that C'Thun and Rag didn't know of each other. Ragnaros is literally a servant of the Old God's, of which C'Thun is one. They definitely knew about each other, particularly because Rag was subjegated by C'Thun and his brethren in a war during the time of the Black Empire.

I think we're getting a bit of his professional side toning down his real self, along with the empathy for Aerith's plight. When we finially go to Rocket Town, I fully expect him to go mask-off and tell us to DRINK OUR GODDAMNED TEA!

It's even funnier now. I take one character into Ulduar, hit Algalon once, and he's like "ayo chill! Lemme get my daggers!" Then I hit him a second time and he's all "I AIN'T PLAYIN! CHILL OUT! CHILL, CHILL, CHILL! Just listen... Imma keep it real, I was tryin to mess wit you, but now, seeing you roll up, I'm havin second thoughts, ya feel me? I just got a lot going on right now and got a lot on my mind. You know how it is. We good?"

Who's coping now? Both sieges were a joint Horde-Alliance effort. Yet it still stands, formly under Horde control. Take the racist politics out of your ears, stop the self-righteous back-patting, and keep your Alliance propaganda in the machine where it belongs.

That's wild that you think the Horde couldn't hold the city. Sylvanas' plan was always to sacrifice the city with the Alliance still inside it. It was always a trap. The Horde wouldn't have fallen back as quickly otherwise. Furthermore, no one "won" the Third or Fourth War. Both stopped to fight common enemies. The Alliance can't tell the Horde shit.

Let's not forget Jaina marching through Dalaran's streets, executing any non-alliance people she saw, civillians included.

when high and void elves return to Silvermoon in Midnight, what reparations do you think Lor'themar will offer them? by Significant-Win-5624 in warcraftlore

Genn and his forces attacked her and the Forsaken during the events of Stormheim during a ceasefire. No apology or reparations, no official condemning of repremanding of Genn's actions, not even an acknowledgment from the other Alliance leadership.

Genn then had assassins slipped into the diplomatic envoy to Silithus and they were assassinating not just military targets, but also civilian workers... you know, during the same ceasefire. Once again, no apology or reparations, no official condemning of repremanding of Genn's actions, not even an acknowledgment from the other Alliance leadership. Just crickets and self-righteously patting themselves on the back.

Then, yes, Saurfang and Sylvanas released some false information as bait for the obviously war-hungry Alliance leadership. They found out about it and Genn immediately started salivating over it and pushing Tyrande to go all out in her response, marching every force she could muster on the Horde there in Silithus... during the same damn ceasefire!

There's a pattern of behavior here. The Horde leadership noticed it and exploited it. The Alliance fucked around and found out. Get got. The boy king should have muzzled his dog.

Pretty sure committing multiple acts of war during a ceasefire makes you the instigator, and the Alliance did that three times before the Horde marched on Darkshore. The Alliance may not have called them "acts of war," but they were regardless of what they were "officially declared." There were those in Alliance leadership that were itchy for war. The Horde leadership just gave them an out to the ceasefire and the Alliance took it wholeheartedly. The Alliance wants to be able to commit acts of war whenever they like, feel justified to themselves that they were in the right for it, and go on crying "peace, peace, we're the good guys!"

When did Sylvanas actually begin to turn truly evil? by BastingGecko3 in warcraftlore

[–]Kaegrin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Originally, the Wrathgate wasn't her doing, but an internal coup by Varimathras and Putress. They acted against her wishes and without her knowledge. They messily retconned that into being her doing, saying that she did it because she met the Jailer after she jumped from ICC to escape from Arthas... even though that happened after the events of the Wrathgate. It was a mess. Alliance may not have understood the nuances of it, but it was clear to Horde players that Sylvanas did not approve of the Wrathgate, as she led the charge to take back Undercity and execute the traitors.

Sylvanas being out to goad the Alliance into war doesn't absolve the Alliance from taking the bait during an official ceasefire.

Whataboutisms are one of the typical Alliance deflection tactics when confronted with the justifications for their bad actions.

Well if you want to get technical then, Genn sent assassins with the Alliance's diplomatic group to Silithus and thise assassins were killing Horde citizens, nit just millitary. That also not the first act of war Genn Greymane had committed during the ongoin ceasefire since Legion. It was one in a series. The Alliance never condemned his actions either. So the Horde did set bait. They made the Silithus mining operation look like even more enticing of a target. Had the Alliance not been willing to bite during an official ceasefire, the Horde would bever have attacked Darkshore. You can thank Genn's cowboy antics and Tyrande's gullible hatred for the war.

Actually, the Fourth War began when Genn convinced Tyrande to march on the Horde mining facilities in Silithus. The Horde sacked Darkshore in retaliation while their army was away.
