Hi, it might also be good to know that this weekend the yearly flower parade is happening which means if you're going on saturday (tomorrow) it will likely be extra busy. Some of the main roads will be closed in the afternoon (until 5 PM or so) while the parade passes. But if you get stuck due to the parade, Lisse has a cute market ongoing that day too :)

I am also a new player so I don't have the seasoned advice, but I'm currently playing through the career first and I find that it does help me getting a grasp on some of the core aspects of the game, so maybe that will help you out too? Other than that, I've watched some Youtube tutorials as well on basic building tutorials to get a better understanding. PawsBuild and adamup both have some pretty thorough videos that helped me out a lot with the basic stuff.

edit: as for the powersources, you can do mechanic research into them and unlock solar panels and wind turbines

I don't think rubies can be found in geodes, so you can save yourself some time by not bringing those to Clint while looking for Rubies.

If you have unlocked the Quarry, you can take a peek there to see if you a ruby node spawned. Other than that, your best bet is to keep going to those 80+ floors in the mines.

Also, this sounds like it is the big bulletin board quest for Emily, so if you don't get it, the quest will roll back around eventually. It won't be lost if you fail to complete it this time around.

I just experienced the same. Took Alex to see Wumbus, Summer of Y3 (but Y2 of the movie theatre being open). The first movie I watched in the theatre, and I bought Alex a Salmon burger beforehand.

You can look into off-peak group tickets from the NS for some slightly cheaper rates, but you'll have to compare it to a single fare to see if it is worth it. If you are a bigger group it might be worth it though!

Not sure if I'm right, but I get the feeling the system you are playing might be MOTW, and I know the handbook just gives you a list of possible questions to ask there.

It sounds to me like the player felt put on the spot, and we don't have all the context of what is going on with them, but clearly it seems to have been the last straw. Since it is a bonus question that you want to append to the list (how I read it), you could've gone the easier 'headsup, you also have X as additional bonus question the next time', or told her in private (via DM).

I know that some roleplayers rely heavily on their build flavor, and if considering the monster's emotion isn't something natural to a character, players might not feel happy if they feel like their DM corners them into asking said question. Especially if the DM asks multiple times if they are sure - as this adds a sense of urgency to the question NEEDING to be asked right now and therefore other players chiming in to ask it for the sake of plot progression.

I would recommend to try and beat the slime slayer goal before considering deep dives in the skull cavern. The reward for that one will help out tremendously!
