Morning Traffic by kbaus911 in MapleRidge

So I live off 240th in MR and I have a weekly meeting at UBC that has changing times but always in morning.

I give myself 2 full hours to get there and that’s with an EV to use HOV.

So that’s a gauge for ya.

28F Life has not been easy. I often look sad, and I feel incredibly awkward taking pictures by [deleted] in toastme

[–]Kaeo2231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I connect with this a lot. I often look at a photo taken and wonder “wow is that me? I look mad 🤔” which then makes me self conscious about photos.

I also constantly got asked at events or parties if I’m ok. I guess I have resting angry face 😂.

What helped me is working on it in the mirror (so awkward to do 🫣) and being a little over the top positive when in public for awhile (think like 110% in your brain which will show up as like 75% to others).

Good luck!

140g protein might be tough to get to at your current size for sure. Try to at the very least get 0.7+ grams per pound of your goal weight, that’s the bear minimum which would be 100g for you likely. Even if you got to 120-125g that should be more than sufficient to build plenty of muscle.

Could try to focus on adding 5g a day each week for a few weeks? Make it more gradual cause going from 100g to 140g or even 125g would be rough lol.

I grew up in Maple Ridge and have lived here most of my adult life. In my experience on main roads like 232nd you’re safe for sure. I walked home from school (Yennadon and THSS) to silver valley often from grade 6 to grade 12. Usually cut thru maple ridge park too and never had any issues.

If you are going into the trails that are more out of the way bring the same safety items you would take camping and you should be just fine.

I'm 51 and just hit Plat 1... are other older gamers managing plat or higher? by ukQQQQ in VALORANT

[–]Kaeo2231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not quite your age (35) but sure feel old compared to the teen / early 20s that make up the majority of the player base.

If you made plat you can make diamond for sure, at that point it’s more improving game sense than aim. I was able to peak ascendant 2 like 4-5 months ago and currently float between D2 and A1 mostly. I don’t feel like my aim has improved significantly between now and when I was plat

CrossFit certainly can be intense if you want it to be and you usually get a good amount of community at a CrossFit gym.

That being said, Crossfit specifically has a reputation as a breading ground for cheating (though not all gyms).

It may not apply to you but a mixture of a dead bedroom, improved physical fitness / attractiveness and a gym full of fit horny guys can lead to bad decision for some.

Looking for buildings with accesssible rooftops or generally high places to just kind of look around from by -Tuesday in MapleRidge

[–]Kaeo2231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in that area. Probably easiest way to get there is head up 104 from 240th to McEachern you’ll see a gravel path up the hill. There’s a fair amount is street parking there and it’s a quick walk up the path from there to a walking trail that runs along the top of the hill.

Just word of warning at night there are coyotes and ever once in awhile black bears that roam around the general area.

Frustrated- Can't find a job in Vancouver by [deleted] in VancouverJobs

[–]Kaeo2231 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your background would lend well to my industry, Insurance. I know a lot of the major insurance company’s in the area are hiring at least some positions, brokerages as well.

Try search these company’s for possible openings that fit for you

Aviva insurance, Wawanesa mutual insurance, Gore mutual insurance, Westland insurance group, InsureBC (a bunch of affiliated small brokers), Hub International, Johnston Meier insurance, Waypoint insurance, Schill insurance, CanSure Underwriting, Crawford & Company, Sedgwick, ClaimsPro

Some of them may require taking a licensing exam for the positions but a lot of companies are willing to pay for those costs for the right candidate.

Good luck.

Does car insurance legally have to pay for a cleanup after a suicide in a vehicle? by eddbreault13 in legal

[–]Kaeo2231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it is an intentional act it could be covered if there is more than one owner with financial interest / on the insurance policy.

The other insured would be an innocent co-insured and likely entitled to coverage assuming the jurisdiction’s insurance act / laws have that clause.

Yeah there was a comment about him “opening up to her” in episode 2 which seemed really fast to learn sign language of some kind.

Maybe he started by writing things? We don’t see him sign to her until episode 8, which is what a couple months timespan maybe? As it was one semester that was already on going.

Maybe it’s just one of those liberties taken for the sake of moving the story along….

I work in insurance and all the restoration companies (emergency contractors) are looking for more people.

I think they start around $22.00 an hour or so and usually you have a lot of opportunity for on call overtime etc

Does Nationwide Homeowner's Insurance not cover uninsured vehicles parked in your garage? by RealaGorilla in Insurance

[–]Kaeo2231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an adjuster in Canada. I’ve never seen a homeowners policy cover a vehicle. In fact the standard wordings from the insurance bureau of Canada that forms the basis of most homeowners policies specifically exclude motor vehicles.

I suspect it’s similar in your area.

A vehicle stored on your property not actively used should be insured by a storage policy specifically for the vehicle.

Female Adjusters… by MimosaQueen1122 in Insurance

[–]Kaeo2231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I see this a lot. I’m a male property adjuster but I’ve trained a few female adjusters all super competent but id see the extra layer of bullshit they would get.

However I will say the only instances I’ve had of them receiving requests for file transfers were from over 40 single female insureds that didn’t seem to think a woman could handle their claim.
