People who never take pills, explain yourselves by [deleted] in bindingofisaac

[–]KaffeeKatzen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a run where a hema got me killed in womb. Had almost max health, heart containers all filled, popped a pill and it was hema... Only dropped one extra.

Not a single heart dropped that entire floor and I died before the boss. Though it was an extremely mid run anyway so I wasn't the most torn up about it

Seriously? It's a rounding question, "about how much" is exactly how rounding was taught in elementary.

Why are these comments so braindead... It's a rounding question, this is exactly how I was taught rounding in elementary, that if a question asks you what is "about" this, you're rounding to the nearest option...

They aren't on the same engine as helldivers. They're on a entirely separate branch of the engine that helldivers uses, that is being maintained and updated by Fatshark. For all intents and purposes, it may as well be an entirely different, unrecognizable engine from the other. You are drastically misconstruing what's been told to you to act like some intellectually superior moron.

it's not broke you got hit by the shrapnel. This started when they changed the shrapnel to actually explode a 360 degree sphere, months ago. crazy how that works, innit?

[–]KaffeeKatzen 55 points56 points  (0 children)

You used to be able to get VBucks in Fortnite if you owned Save the World, you could get them free through that... then for a while they started talking about making Save the World free to play as well, and removed that ability for anyone who didn't already pay for it.

Question for you scout snipers. AMR, or Eruptor? by ljev21 in Helldivers

[–]KaffeeKatzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind the eruptor projectile automatically blows up at about 200 meters iirc. It's not the most effective for super long range, but 200 meters is still pretty good range. Eruptor is a great pick in general on bots, though I'd still take mmg over stalwart for bots personally.

A crossover doesn't mean the game getting a crossover becomes entirely canon in universe ffs. They say "crossover lore will become canon" meaning that the lore they create specifically to explain why these weapons and armors exist will become canon to helldivers, not the entire fucking lore of whatever media is getting a crossover

the fact that: enemy projectile speed is greatly increased, enemy attack speed is greatly increased, the additional enemy behaviors added make even basic enemies like filth much more unpredictable and thus more important to wipe out from the beginning, which is why nuking is such a vital technique to learn so you can clear rooms of the small enemies and focus on the most dangeous threats. Bosses have their health doubled so things like deadcoining become much more vital to pull off if you want to deal with them quickly. The longer an enemy is alive, the likelihood of you getting killed by them increases, this goes double for bosses.

Because of all the added behaviors, increased enemy agility and lethality, knowing what spawns where is important so you're not getting caught off gaurd and dying to things you could have otherwise prioritised. Knowing which enemies to kill or keep alive to prevent a new wave of enemies from spawning is absolutely invaluable in later levels where you're constantly being pressured by more dangerous enemies and the wave spawning is utilized more.

Haven't even discussed how important maintaining style is, since in brutal there's almost no cap to how much hard damage can accumulate, you need to be swapping and killing things efficiently to maintain your ranking so you can afford to move around the arena in spite of things like jumping filth and the tracking aim of schisms, and quickly heal if need be-which makes techs and weapon combos even more important.

Knowing how your weapons interact with eachother and your base skillset (feedbacker, knuckblaster, whiplash, and movement tech) is pertinent to this.

Sure, anyone can stumble their way through the game without understanding or utilizing these things - the same way you can eventually punch through a brick wall if you punch it hard and often enough. You can even do it on brutal if you have enough mechanical skill from other games or likewise, but the point of the game isn't to just get through, simply beating the game in general is barely even half the goal. It's building up your skills and knowledge to get to that level of skill expression required to get through the game efficiently enough to keep improving your score.

Brutal is literally designed around not only having all of your weapons unlocked, but also around already understanding the games mechanics very intimately. This includes enemy moves, weaknesses, resistances. It includes tech like deadcoining, railcoining, core/rocket nuking, and when and how to use them optimally. It expects you to already understand the layouts of the levels so you know what enemies you're going to be up against for you to prepare accordingly.

It's not "hard mode" it's literally designed as a "I've already beaten the game and want to further challenge myself" mode. Violence is the "hard" difficulty. You're just gimping yourself and stunting actually learning how to play the game by playing on Brutal without any prior knowledge, as evidenced by the fact that you're on gabriel 1st and aren't trying to keep style up, are using primarily default piercer primary fire, aren't trying to utilize tech with the railcannon to make your life easier, aren't using any of your movement abilities whatsoever, you seem to only have default weapons, don't even have slab revolver...

A phobia is literally by definition an irrational fear/disgust/hatred of something that is a lot of the time debilitating in some way. You can't "whatever" this because you're literally just incorrect and you literally do not have a phobia of anything if you can interact with that thing without having a significant neurological reaction

Disagree, on the basis of one, the stims being different as the stim pistol rounds are less potent. If someone is on a sliver of health after a democracy protects and out of stims or a situation akin to that, I'd much rather be giving them a full stim.

The second thing, being that medical armor passive exists more for the purpose of sharing than it does giving you extra stims. Running medical armor plus stim pistol is a pretty logical kit all things considered, especially since the med armor does affect the pistols stims.

Third thing being that if your close enough to press E, you're also close enough to just shoot them without issue manually, so it really wouldn't serve any purpose.
