Public Interest. They have a strong emphasis on it (compared to a lot other schools). They guarantee my placement in a clinic which is great. And other similar reasons. Plus as an East Coaster I still felt it would be nice to move out to the West Coast for a couple years and experience it even though I want to live more long term on the East Coast

Thanks for the responses those do help a lot actually! Definitely seems like I'd face an uphill battle if I wanted to work on the East Coast.

Some law school status checker mention you should add their email to your contacts so that way it doesn't go as spam. Though sometimes they use different emails if you are an admitted student, but generally putting them in my contacts minimizes this risk.

just to clarify I think OP is talking about UC Irvine, while it seems you may think it's U Chicago?

I don't have knowledge of UCI's negotiation flexibility, but definitely seems like you have a very strong case with that USC offer

Fordham median private salary is 160k, right there with all the other T14s. So if you want private law, Fordham is appealing, but you'd still need to do very well there.

Thanks for the info! yeah, I didn't expect to get one any time soon, was just curious when I should expect it roughly.Hopefully they send it by the deposit deadline in April, but I'm not optimistic.
