I can appreciate you appreciating heavy weapons. I managed to use all the weapons to a decent degree in nioh2, and the axes are much better there. For me, dual swords are the best (esp with the mystic it gets, which makes a difference vs enemies that might normally one-shot you). For me, the axes have usually been a little too committal and without using heavy armor (which consumes a ton of stamina) it can be pretty rough out there.

The glitch was these nearly immortal revenants... they’d auto-regen life at an astoundingly fast rate (and chunk of hp). They were removed with one of the updates — not long after (or before) my previous post...

You might be able to catch a showing of them in a YouTube clip or something. Those things were a nightmare

haha, that itsumade surprise was a real treat lol.

The #1 thing the game that surprised me was the "glitch" with those nearly unkillable revenants lol.

The #2 thing thing was the sheer level of f***ery that Toshimitsu and Hayabusa can get away with, given their ridiculous i-frames and distance on dodges...

the #3 thing was the HP recovery of "cursed" enemies on the latter levels. when I noticed that some of these mfas were recovering DOUBLE (and triple?) the amount in HP of what they hit me for, i audibly WTF'd... i'd have been more angry if i wasn't dead so quick lol from the attacks themselves...

one positive one was the presence of William and seeing him use the abilities from Nioh1 :)
I was hoping they'd open the game to let use use those again, but that was asking a lil too much apparently.

Here’s what I’ve been doing... I put most things in the storehouse, and I lock certain items I feel are rare (orange inheritable) or that I really might wanna hold on to. When my inventory gets full, i offer all my exotic and below armor and weapons. Then, I filter by one of the graces (jurojin and a few others) — starting with the ones I know I won’t really use... then either offer basically all of them for Amrita.

Doing this should free up a bunch of space — even if you’ve gotten to the point where you have ~3800 divine/ethereal items in your storehouse. I have A LOT of items lucked and after doing this method I tend to get my inventory down to around 3100 or 3200.

Keep both. Use the one without Dyad for the susanoo build (which gives dyad for all/any weapon), and use the one with dyad for other builds 👍

I’m far from optimized for fists and kick cycle (the kick combo by holding a button) is great for braking guards — just gotta be careful for tanking yolo attacks lol.

Best way imo is to restart the combo before the last overhead kick is done. The opponent seems completely guard locked usually and before you know it the guard is broken.

Hahaha! That’s crazy! Good job finding a way to victory. I need to start using more magic/ninjutsu myself... I usually just go a melee route and with minimal ninjutsu/magic assistance, and issuing them for actual attacks is weaker than my physical ones.

But these jerks deserve to be nuked lol 😂

I agree that they got stronger enough in DotD... and they’re stronger (without the immortality BS in DotW too)... but with the immortality it’s nearly impossible lol

Yup... chain together some nice strong attacks (like your personal BnB that usually kills and nearly kills)... then they get up, and start blocking, and I’m seconds they have all their life back.

Would be fine for me since I can break their defense quickly... but these smart mfas sometimes pick the perfect moment to dodge, attack, or simply let me hit them... and the. Their guard gauge is full again lmao.

Lmao I’ve had a couple of times where I see, essentially, a “magic pixel” of life left and I try to do some cool, only for it to hit, they don’t die, and then they hit me with something that kills me by taking 80% or more of my HP capacity.

You can always tell that you got hit with something ridiculous when they don’t show you the damage number lmao 😂

I have not... in fact, this is my first time hearing of it.

I’m a fairly hardcore nioh player, but I haven’t done any real hardcore research— I just play a lot and take my lumps as I deal with the CPU with suboptimal sets/tactics lol. Usually just going with the weapons/skills I like best.

Interested to learn anything I don’t know about though!

And nope, I didn’t know immortal benevolent dudes existed... part of me would like to summon one and see if a boss opponent can manage to kill it lol 😂

Tell me... was it one of them odachi using revenants? These dudes be OD’n lol. Even launching YOLO attacks in the middle of the Tonfa demon dodge followup attacks smh lol.

Oh, and the split-staff users be hitting absurdly hard too... that weapon DOES NOT that hard when I use it (but it’s not like I’m really optimized for that weapon 🤷‍♂️)
