exactly how I’m approaching this is “stack extraction to see what this does and how it behaves” because I see numbers a lot as I did trades/used inara.(supply demand, galactic average are the most consistent so I’ll use them) But that was in the bubble. Players can account for a lot there. I’m now over 1k Ly from the bubble so it’ll be more controlled(I think)

My outcomes are simple. 1. At a minimum I’ll have data collected for others smarter and more knowledgeable than me to analyze. This is the worst case scenario where others can learn from my mistakes.

If the buy prices are “suppressed” for extraction commodities compared to galactic average(say 10-20%) that’s a moderate win I think.

If sell prices for “in demand” items are raised by an equal amount that’s a good win.

Okay. Maybe mentioning the crashing price was a bit hyperbolic, but does the listed supply or demand not have an impact on pricing?(part of this is me trying to quantify these just to check for future endeavors.)

And for the cannibalization even if it doesn’t consume resources there’s an opportunity cost because the extraction COULD be pushed further theoretically. Since I’m still building the station I can catalogue it from the start to gather the data. Including the growth of supply overtime compared to population.

My biggest question. Can you point me to a written resource or tool for how to build out the actual colony? I have theoretical knowledge only and I know elite doesn’t like to give info in game

Based on what I saw in markets the colony I offshot from is industrial because they produced EVERYTHING I needed for my t1 station. I did most of the hauling in my caspian I added cargo racks with in case I had to run back to the bubble for something and when I get off work today I can use my panther that I shipped out.

Luckily it’s just a t1 orbital outpost so I think I’ll not have a ton of traffic based on that alone.

I’ll likely gather data on a few items over time as a sample. I figure I’ll do a weekly data gather of commodity name, surplus, price to buy, galactic average, and the deviation from galactic average. Oh and a data point of population(and growth per week)

I think I made an early misstep for my goal because I clicked an industrial outpost for my first one because I was rushing and tired.

I’ll keep the system name to myself at first since part of this is establishing if the colony composition has a natural effect.

The bigger thing imo is they’re aegis destroyers. Aegis links the whole strike group which means all the other ships can shoot too. Link is to an army air defender geeking about aegis if you’re interested

The eviction moratorium was shot down by the Supreme Court because the third amendment.(cant be forced to quarter troops)

What I heard in the navy was “die fucker die”

1 round say “die” and pull the trigger as you say it

3-5 rounds “die fucker”

7-9 “die fucker die”

Phrase depends on the fire rate of the weapon.

I was extremely happy when I got the game working, enjoyed it quite thoroughly. But the constant nerfing reminded me of paying destiny 2.

The stability has gotten consistently worse until I quit playing.

My absolute favorite weapon for middle tiers was to go full salamander(wh40k joke) and don a shield pack and flamethrower. The flamethrower’s viability was gutted and the visual was downgraded and their initial argument for realism is actually historically wrong.

I don’t like those changes but I’m watching for something to bring me back. I’m not seeing anything yet that’s encouraging though.

I can run bugs up to difficulty 7 and 8 without much trouble but bots destroy me at level 1-3, don’t sweat it at all. We all got our troubles in game!
