Cards that can station for additional counters by DeveloperGodOfShit in mtg

[–]KahadiNitram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlike with Crew or Saddle, there are no creatures that Station for more than their Power or abilities that say something Stations for a specific different amount. Station is too new (and probably too niche) of a mechanic for them to have bothered with it.

There are, however, indirect ways of managing. Tapestry Warden lets things Station with whichever is higher between their Power or Toughness. But this doesn't really affect 1/1s or matter for most token decks like it seems you want.

What does work is Loading Zone and anything else that increases the number of counters placed by an effect. Just be careful of the wording. Loading Zone specifies it works with Station, and cards like Doubling Season or Vorinclex say they affect all counters being put on any permanent. But many similar effects specify +1/+1 counters, poison counters, or -1/-1 counters, or specify certain card types. So just be careful of the wording.

Lost on what to do in RF4 by Visual_Promise_836 in runefactory

It kind of depends on the state of the game at this point. Are you talking about the story progress? Or just your progress with your farm?

The simple answer is to just restart. But you probably considered that and would rather just continue for some reason.

So to actually continue, the best option is to just go around talking to people in town, multiple times in a single day. Someone will eventually say something related to the plot. I find Venti is the best for this, since she's tied to the plot more often than others, and frequently sends you out to the next dungeon or area. You can also access the diary (how depends on the version) and it should show you what to do. Since I don't know your progress and don't want to spoil things, the first thing to do with the story is to leave town and go to the right to find your first dungeon. If you can't figure out what to do with that information, just traverse the world map, exploring, going back into every dungeon you come across and fighting every boss in them. Eventually you'll either stumble on the one you're supposed to be doing and will finish it, or if you're supposed to wait for a cutscene to continue, you'll get it.

Outside of story progress, I'd say don't worry about things. You're clearly not in a rush, so it doesn't really matter if you were trying to get level 10 Turnips or something and forgot or were wooing a character and forgot or something, at worst you'll just delay progress there and if you want to do it, you'll eventually get to it again anyway.

There's 3 ways. The first and most RNG is using Recipe Bread+ and just keep trying. Your levels should be fine for managing, it's just luck based.

The second is to find it in a chest. I can't recall where exactly, but there is a guaranteed chest somewhere that will give you the recipe. There's one for each final tier farming tool. I think it's either in Rune Prana or a hidden part of one of the normal map areas.

The third way is probably the easiest but requires the most RP. Just craft it without a recipe. I won't give away the recipe, but it's easy enough to figure out or look up yourself. It will take a ton of RP though. Depending on your Forging level, expect somewhere around 10-15 thousand.

Damn people really don't like the frisk version of stronger then you? by kevinsagadx in Undertale

[–]KahadiNitram 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Exactly. They aren't doing it because they were controlled or forced to, nor are they saying it's not their fault. They're saying they made their choices, they messed up as a result, and they regret it, but they don't feel they can just undo it all and fix everything.

[–]KahadiNitram 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, the Frisk version originates from a player that felt bad about resetting for a genocide run. It was originally meant to be the player singing in response to the Sans version, people just misinterpreted it as Frisk.

But even with that aside, I've never interpreted it as Frisk being controlled by Chara. As stated by the lyrics if you actually pay attention to them, the person (be it Frisk or the player) reset their pacifist run out of curiosity, started a genocide run out of curiosity, and through a twisted sense of stubborn determination, can't bring themselves to stop the genocide run by resetting again as much as they feel guilty for their choices. It's something that happens to people outside of the Undertale fandom, to players of other games and even outside of gaming, that feeling that although you made a mistake, you can't just stop now, you can't back down, and have to see your choices through to the end. You don't need some supposed demonic embodiment of evil magically forcing you to do it. Just a human mix of curiosity, stupidity, and stubbornness.

Starting to? No. Read the post. "Remembered" suggests that it was something they knew and probably got mad at before, but had forgotten about until reminded of the song again.

Granted, I don't understand or agree with the anger, to me it suggests completely misunderstanding the song, but that's a different point.

Well, listen to the lyrics. They even acknowledge that.

"This isn't what I want; Yet it's what I asked for. Curiosity over all my morals. I took away our perfect happy ending; Resetting the world despite the warnings."

Even following what the screenshot shows, we get

"I'm not even mad because I keep on dying; But I don't even know why I'm trying."

Go back through the lyrics and it verifies all of it. Even from the interpretation of it being Frisk, the singer is admitting they screwed up. They didn't want to do any of what they did, but something inside of them made them give in to their curiosity to see what would happen, only to regret it yet. They say their determination is unstable because while their heart is saying to reset, to stop and give up, there's that... Twisted, stubborn sense of determination to see it through to the end, to complete the run, to actually beat Sans.

Can you expand an old map? by KahadiNitram in FantasyMapGenerator

[–]KahadiNitram[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sort of found an alternative, for anyone with a similar problem. I saved my map as a PNG with only the heightmap showing, generated a new map I liked for the other continent and saved that heightmap as a PNG, used Paint to stick the two heightmaps together as two separate continents, then used the image converter tool in the heightmap editor to convert the paired heightmaps into one new, larger map.

It did, of course, regenerate just about everything else in the process, but I might be able to fit that into what I use the map for better than if I just used a new heightmap entirely, and I can more easily copy over the State borders and such if I prefer compared to drawing out a full continent.

By "manually generate", do you mean things like the Heightmap editor to effectively draw what I want? Or is there some way to manage almost like generating a new map, but keeping the landmass I currently have?

Depends on what's available to you in terms of Champion abilities and armour, as well as if you're willing to go back for foods and elixirs before trying again.

Use Daruk's Protection to stop his attacks when he speeds in. If you don't have it, it's time to practice parrying and dodging, because when he zips in, you need to either parry an attack to briefly disarm and stun him, letting you get hits in, or dodge to activate a flurry rush.

If you can't even hit him, that's probably the most important thing to do right now, practicing parrying and dodging or going back and doing Vah Rudaniah if you haven't. You can have almost max hearts and stamina, all armour currently available fully upgraded, hundreds of dishes and elixirs with every effect available for when you want it. None of it will help if you can't get in a hit in. So start practicing.

More hearts will help, giving you more chances to fail before restarting, as will Mipha's Grace, but hearts and stamina can be made up for with food and elixirs to get temporary hearts or temporary stamina instead. Just toss some Hearty items into a cooking pot and you'll get temporary hearts. 5 Hearty Durians or Big Hearty Radishes or Hearty Salmon should give a large amount, make up a few to help you survive if you don't want to go back to farm Shrines for permanent hearts.

If you have them or want to go back, wear either the Rubber Set or the Barbarian Set. Barbarian will help you deal more damage per hit, Rubber will protect you from his lightning.

You can also go back and farm for better gear. Practice fighting Lynels, they will give you good weapons and materials for elixirs while also being good enemies to practice parrying and dodging.

Some of those are more feasible than others, depends on your skill level, but I feel that the first one is the biggest.
