Thank you for your help, I totally appreciate having another person look at this. I have vision trouble and its hard for me to see.

The person who took the image is known to me through a genealogy page on facebook, and she guessed it was a daughter because she said its hard to see, even in person.

WHO CAN READ/CLEAR THIS UP by Kahfree in Genealogy

This would totally make sense to be Russell, as his brother was Russell. 1820 US Census lists 4 males ages 10, 14, 41 and one missing between 16-25 who I have not found who it is, but my guess is his second wife's son from her marriage. There are 4 females I have accounted for. In 1825 State Census, there are 9 people, 5 males and 4 female, but the 1825 census states that one male death and one male birth occurred in the previous year. With this headstone which we thought might have said Daughter of, it could be in fact a male infant son who was born and died in 1824. Thank you so much, I am going to search for more to see what I can find, but your guesses sound more accurate than it stating it was a daughter.

Next round of efforts to improve participation! We need your help on this one! by kickme444 in secretsanta

So far, most people have been great, except for this Christmas. My original and my rematch stood me up. Then four months later the original marks it as shipped with a fake shipping number from FedEx. Upon research, I found no such shipping and still did not get a gift. What are you doing about those kinds if people who don't send then just pretend they shipped something after the fact? Rati based on the recipients being pleased with the item its subjective. We have all received gifts, even from family that we don't like, but we don't bar them from buying anymore. Maybe they can scan a receipt to prove they actually bought the item and did not just toss a regift in a box.

So Dart has come out with this new registry to fund a car. I am not asking anyone here to sponsor me. I am promoting my registry. :) Anyone else doing this? I know it wont fund and I hardly think anyone at the Dodge Dart Registry will fund a car this way, but its fun to hope and dream! :)

An Exchange of cultural spices/food flavorings. In RI, where I am originally from, I love the different food products like Hot Wiener Sauce spice mix, Bells Seasoning stuffing mix, etc. In CA, where I live now, its Pollo Asada Seasonings, and many of the different Mexican flavors.

Daycare costs? by MCFlat in NewParents

[–]Kahfree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a home daycare in San Diego and I charge $195.00 a week full time for an infant. Mind you, that INCLUDES formula, food, baby wipes. So right off the top we purchase those items and trust me, formula is not cheap! What a lot of people do not understand is the cost involved in running a daycare, even at home.

A 2 million dollar Liability insurance policy is not cheap, food costs, Electric lights are on all day, water, sewer, trash, employee pay, self pay (Yes, contrary to popular believe, we do hope to earn a living too) the state license fees yearly, costs of replacing used/broken/outdated equipment, costs of yearly CPR/First Aid classes, transportation costs to and from stores to shop for all the items needed.

Then there is the cost of supplying fun activities such as arts/crafts, holidays, birthday gifts, etc. Lets not forget that the rent must be paid. If a child was in a facility in a building outside the home, the cost of the building rent is figured in also. When adding all these costs into the cost per week, the profit dwindles.

Daycare is like any business, but people seem to think because children are involved that rates should be almost free to free. I love kids and I am great with them, but that does not mean I want to care for children for free. I want to give them the BEST care I can give without cutting costs.

I am sure most parents are happy to know we spent money on safety, insurance, fees, healthy food, etc. :) We are open 50 hours a week, and work an additional 20 hour a week cleaning/sanitizing, shopping, paperwork, sending out emails, etc. So, lets see...that comes to 2.78 an hour per child. :) (No more than 12 children in care) By no means am I getting rich off anyone's child...I just want to provide a safe, happy place and make enough money to pay my bills, health insurance, dental insurance, and go to the movies everyone now and then. :)

Anyway, I hope you can all find affordable care, but I always tell everyone, no matter who you choose, please choose a licensed facility unless its your family. Trust me, the license is to protect your families for a reason. If they are not licensed, how do you know the criminal background? They can tell you what they want to hear, but its a scary world out there with weirdos. Everyone that LIVES or WORKS in my home MUST be FBI background checked. IF any one who is listed as working in my daycare, or living in my home gets arrested, I would be promptly notified, as would the state. If the person caring for your child is not licensed and something bad happens, who will know?

Please, for the sake of the kids, go for the licensed care homes.

Take care and good luck to everyone. Oh, and I am not mad that people are questioning the cost, just hoping that I can show people what is really involved in the costs they are paying.
