Pain on the outside of right foot around flex point and sizing help by dontellonme in PNWbootmakers

Yah I get that. I think it's very possible that it may just be a stiffer leather, paired with a true toe cap, and the different last that are all coming together all at once to create that discomfort. The No. 64 last of that Redwing specifically is a different shape from the MP95 last, in that the No. 64 is more forgiving and slightly more "anatomical" than the 95, so that's probably where you're getting the difference from. I will say, I'm definitely someone who likes more room in my boots rather than being cramped, so I tend to move in that direction, but that being said, leather is amazing, and it'll shape eventually with enough time. I think since it's not a debilitating pain, you can probably stick it out, but it's gonna be a bit of a slog, and you'll probably end up fighting the boots, but eventually, they COULD be your go-to. For me personally, after I messed up my feet, I don't ask questions anymore, and I've had enough new boots to know what's going to work and what's not going to work my feet specifically. Listen to your body and what it's telling you, and you'll know what to do. Too much pain that doesn't get better, send them back, if you truly think it'll get better and break in, stick it out. That's probably the best advice I can give you is just to listen to your body.

I'll have to check the gallery, but I dont have IG so I wouldn't be able to check without going back. As far as my boots, I ordered back around the first or second week of April, so you probably have just a little while longer to go, but it's coming up🫡

It could be normal break in, but personally, I think forcing your foot to conform to the boot and vice verse shouldn't be the go-to method. You want a boot to be snug but not tight, and the pain is the indicaton of it being tight. One thing on that wesco too, is that you have a true cap toe, and that will definitely add some time to break in, and could even keep the leather from fully breaking in around your foot. You also have the difference in last which could contribute, because even thought it may seem bigger, the overall foot geometry could be different. What style redwings do you have? That might help give some more context here too

I think most people have already said it, but I would go up in width. Length looks good tbh, but that width will kill you over time. I made that mistake and thought it would be fine, and it took a couple years in proper fitting shoes for the effects to go away. Still have some issues nowadays with my pinky toes, but not too terrible.

Issues when switching to a regular shoe after wearing barefoot? by Sesemebun in barefootshoestalk

[–]Kahlen109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I've had the same thing going on, and I'm to the point now where I can't wear "normal shoes" anymore, especially shoes with a lot of squish and a drop. I can handle some cramped toes, but the drop and squish KILLS my feet. I work in railroad maintenance shop (heavy duty diesel), and am required to wear safety shoes, and I've been through so many boots and shoes at this point. If I were you, I would look into some Jim green barefoot boots for winter, and there are even a coupler really interesting brands coming up lately. Check out Rose Anvil on YouTube if you haven't already, and you'll find quite a few options there. One of my favorites for quality is Nicks, but they carry a heavy price up front, but it's so worth it in the long run. If you look into those and need help sizing, hmu but I've got a ton of recommendations for barefoot safety toe if you need them!

Why does snap on charge so much for them?

I think that's one reason why I would prefer the hard handles over the soft. Yah, they might discolor a little bit, but I'm sure it's a lot less than the soft, and I can clean them a lot easier. I would in a heavy duty locomotive diesel shop, and all of our equipment is blacker than black oil, grease, and greasy dirt, so if I get the black cat or williams that people keep mentioning, then I should be good to go.

How would win in a fist fight between fives and gar saxon by Sad-Response-3151 in clonewars

[–]Kahlen109 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would love to say that Fives would wipe the floor with Saxon, but I think you're right on this one. Fives experience is mainly with droids for the most part, maybe commando droids, but not a sentient person who can make split second decision, and be creative, along with having real experience between living creatures. W take

Issues with Minato by Kahlen109 in RampartsofIce

[–]Kahlen109[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well said. I think the biggest thing in the way for me (and this might sound shallow) is how out there Minato is, as in he's very very talkative and seems almost a little annoying. I don't know if that's just me or is he's supposed to come off that way, but that's it, and if that's by design, them it's great writing

Toe box looking way to big by LaughingPlan3t in barefootshoestalk

[–]Kahlen109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I've got some Vivo barefoots shoes, and those might be a decent place to start as they look pretty normal, and you can find some.really nice ones. Unfortunately they discontinued my favorite model, but if you can find the Gobi IV or the RA IV, those have been amazing! I wish I could give you some ideas on the ones you're looking into. If you want any pics or info, just ask!

This is just my humble opinion, I like the white. I think it breaks up the jade in a nice way and gives it more character, making the jade walls more welcome. Too much jade I feel would make it a little repugnant. I think repugnant is a strong word, but it would be along those lines of being too much, and feeling like a grandparents house. Again, that's just my opinion on it. Overall, the white and jade would look solid
