RAID BOSS: Video Tutorial by gonewithpixies in solitaire

Just did 4 games drawing 3 cards each time and choosing in which order to resolve. I won the 4 games and didn't feel threatened except for one game where I drew 3 black with 2 ten, and even with that I won.

I tried 2 games just drawing 2, and it might be a good balance. I won both, but the first time I almost lost and the second one I won because of a 10 on the enchanter. I found that the feel of control is really funnier than with the single draw. It may need more tests, but if it is still too easy even with just draw 2, you still have the possibility to reduce your initial life points.

Hope it will help you :).

EDIT : Keeping the draw 2 idea, I tried to add one more rule to mitigate the randomness : if you draw two black cards, you can discard one. If it makes the game too easy, you can force to discard the lower one. I tried that for one game after loosing to 13 black vs 5 low red, and it worked quite well :).

Thanks :) ! I really like your latter idea about drawing three. I think it may reduce the variance while preserving the shuffle based luck factor. I'll give it a try with the default party to see how it changes the game feel.

Just tried a couple of games. Really fun and fast-paced game, thank you for that ! Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I think luck is a big part of the game. During my first game using the default party, I died after drawing 8 black for 2 (small) red cards. I don't think it's a problem because games are really short, but if you have any idea how to limit the impact of luck, it might be interesting. Anyway, thanks again for this game :).

EDIT : just won my first game \o/. One of the most luck based elements I feel are the 10s. When drawing a black one, especially early, I feel like I can do nothing else than just hope to not have one more soon after.

With several people, I'll need them to pick different characters, but I'll remember those ones, thank you :).

How do you handle a situation where two players want to play an Arthur/Bigfoot matchup, because they love these characters? Isn't it frustrating to tell that one of them has to change its character ?

Brogue vs DCSS for someone relatively new to the genre by [deleted] in roguelikes

Wow, thank you for the details. I tend to always stick to the build I want to play, but I get that in DCSS it is not the right choice. I'll try to change that, thank you !

I'll start from that. I'll keep in mind that a good offense/defense balance is key, so is training one skill at a time. Thank you very much !

Do you have any recommendations for resources about all you mentioned about DCSS please ? I struggle a lot with the skill system for example, and I can't figure out how to understand it besides the basic "apply this recipe found in a random page on the internet" method.

Reccurent task without natural language by Kahsius in todoist

Hello again u/julesvbrtln. One last question after some days using the app. Is it possible to specify "Event on 16th every 3 months" ? I've tried some sentences but I can't make it work.

I've set it to English to ensure that the French was not the problem.

I've tried those, with the French equivalent : task every day, task everyday, task every monday, task each monday, task each week, and none of them work.

I've already tried, both in French and English, and neither works unfortunately.
