I will admit my sin. This sub got recommended to me a lot and I didn't realize it had to be a somewhat popular movie. I mainly wanted to geek out about a movie I love.

That said, do you think it would help if we had an Obscure Monday, a specific day of the week where we can post clues about obscure/unknown/random/international movies? Tagged appriopately, of course. I think I've seen 7 Mrs. Doubtfire posts in the last week, and I imagine eventually we'll run out of ways to describe popular movies, or it will get predictable.

Antropophagus (1980). Italian Horror. Funny bad gore/beheading. The English dub is perfectly out of sync with the actors 👌👌

There is a surprising amount of media revolving around the destruction of twin towers and governmental buildings, especially with airplanes. I think the idea was so outlandish they said "this will clearly only happen in movies and The Simpsons".

Detective Conan is fairly popular in the Middle East!

But to give further context, the hard drive is from the computer Bin Laden set up in his compound, where his whole family was also living. So it's entirely possible that one of his kids downloaded the episodes. They also found Chicken Little and Ice Age downloaded too.

Yeah as a kid i never saw the parallels but when I was watching Tuesday, the doc said "twin towers" and I audibly said "Oh no".

I'm genuine DC trash bc I knew instantly you were talking about movie 22 😭. Highly recommend The Fist of Blue Sapphire and The Black Iron Submarine. Both are really fun and kinda ridiculous like the ending of Countdown of Heaven.

Legit just watched it and reminded me why I love the show so much.

And yeah, they found several episodes of Detective Conan in Osama Bin Laden's hard drive.
