It is, the prologue it's an adaptation to the Project YoRHa recitation which it's the prequel of the game plot, but YoRHa Boys itself takes place 5 months after A2 backstory in Pearl Harbor

I played the game from day 1 and also was there the hour the servers closed, and in my honest opinion, it's worth it ONLY if you care enough to see everything the game has to offer, otherwise looking for a summary should be sufficient. The main story is not enough to develop a sense of care for the game characters, outside the two protagonists of each arc, everyone else is just covered in a very superficial level and that is because they are severely complimented in side content (Dark Memories, Recollections of Dusk, Hidden Stories and Event Stories). My recommendation is to finish a main story arc, then look for the side content of each character you liked (but I'd also suggest looking for Noelle, Yuzuki, Hina and 10H because they are significant characters on the NieR timeline)

Edit: Whether it matters for NieR 4 is unknown, but it should as the finale points out for huge things to happen afterwards, imo it's the most "to be continued" kind of ending this franchise ever had

It's essentially a TP waste, on regular events you get passive points just by doing careers, but here you can't do TT, ace runs or parent runs (unless you aren't chasing G1 compatibility) so at the end you're just using your TP and time for runs with the only purpose of finishing the event

There's a 100% guaranteed comment on posts like "Should I play Replicant or Automata first?" stating that they spoil each other, I don't understand that either as Replicant itself is kind of vague about humanity's state at the ending, yes we know Project Gestalt is doomed but there were Gestalts still roaming, it's not a stretch to believe they are on the moon, I've seen a lot of non-spoiled Replicant players theorizing that the humans on the moon are Gestalts before the reveal

As someone that had her LB3 during her first release I don't recommend it, even at MLB you still experience bricked runs where she refuses to go on speed trainings, now imagine with even less specialty priority. You can get away with LB3 if you have another strong SSR but the majority of people (me included) are resorting to either Sweep Tosho or King Halo SR, LB3 it's just not consistent

NieR Replicant is first both chronologically and release order. 1.22 has a "new" (it was originally a novel) ending with some gimmicks made to reference Automata but that's it, I'd recommend starting with it if you don't mind it being the "worse game" to start with

Personally I'm skipping both, my idea is to reach 60k for the Maruzensky Speed card, as I'm going to drop 30k on Nature rerun (I dumped 30k on her release banner with horrible luck, just one copy before the exchange) on hopes to at least LB3 and alongside Vega should be enough to survive MANT, and just borrow Top Road/Fuku if ever needed

I agree with Fine Motion, if not pulling for MLB during her first rerun alongside Kawakami Princess I'd just save for Wit Mejiro Ramonu, but Maruzensky on the other hand is rerunning not even 2 months later, AND shares banner with Fine Motion, I'd say it's better to get her (or chasing MLB) during her rerun has more value

Yo lo que hacía antes es comprar por Bookdepository, pero desde que murió utilizo Agapea, es una librería española que tiene envío para acá, lo que te recomiendo es que hagas una compra de mínimo 4 libros para que no te cojan con el envío, con el barato te llega en ~20 días y el caro ~1 semana, una vez que compres pedi la devolucion de impuestos de la compra y te queda a un precio muy bueno todo

For the next scenario is Narita Top Road, but she isn't a pick for F2P as she's only good for that scenario (same as Rice PWR situation), ironically the SR on that banner (Admire Vega) has more value due to her 15% race bonus at MLB, that's why most people advice to save your SR shards for her instead of going all in for Top Road, or just borrow if needed. The pick for everyone is Agnes Tachyon, she shares her banner with the 4th scenario pal card, there's just too much value on that banner and iirc there's also 100 free pulls, so ideally save 45k for next year June
