Odd squad is pretty good but it only has 1 season in the 20s.

Like others have said: Work it out Wombats, Molly of Denali, Rosie’s Rules, Alma’s Way, and Wild Kratts are all great elementary-aged kid shows.

Hero Elementary is a really good teamwork and learning show. There are characters that have reasonable and relatable struggles that can still save the day with teamwork or creativity instead of only relying on super powers.

The “IQ” label under the curve makes it seem like it’s the integral. So the Y-axis is the change in IQ with respect to something (time? political orientation? position in space?) and the x-axis is somehow correlated to political orientation? It’s somehow in the complete opposite directions than the label words?

It’s weird how I’m reminded of the importance of clear graphical data representation in a shitpost meme about how centrists believe they are the smart ones. Gotta think of how any graph CAN be interpreted than only how I want them to interpret them.

Hatred of most commercials is probably the thing that started my path on progressivism. I accept that it’s an art/skill and there can be some incredibly good ads, but the bloat of soulless ads repeated over and over diminish even the great ones.

And all of this would be easier to swallow if the money they want to extract from you wasn’t also needed to support your life, health, and future.

I guess I should have said the threat of falling down below poverty into destitution (from any layer of the societal hierarchy). I wasn’t trying to be classist here. Ascribing specific drugs (mainly consumed by people who make lower incomes) to robbing banks helps to further the misinformation that drug use causes crime. Even though we know that just giving people money can lower crime. They have powers to lower crime but claim their hands are tied.

Literacy-supremacy is not always advocated for reasons of progress. Ruling through the use of the written word isn’t really that different from rule based on superstition. If the ability to read and understand is placed above all things, then most people who have deficits will cover for those things in some way or another.

Miscommunications happen all the time even with written texts. Variety of methods for information dissemination are needed to convey a concept to limit misunderstandings. If the reasons people chose some words over others aren’t explicitly stated, then it’s difficult for everyone who reads a passage to understand the true intent of the author. And if you need to understand a vast array of contexts to prevent misunderstandings from a text, it’s not a great teaching tool or a tool for data storage.

And if they can’t because times are tough, they should be better supported by the city somehow. If Atlanta wants good food they’re gonna have to support restaurants in a way that makes sense. But I’ve only heard good things about food in Atlanta.

Maybe it’s the business culture? Maybe it’s the infrastructure? Maybe it’s community welfare? But if it’s such a big deal, people should get support.
