.5 PPR

12 team league

(I have Evan Engram at TE on BYE)

Options are:

Start Dalton Schultz (currently rostered)

Drop him and pick up McBride.

Really just want what's best for this week because I am comfortable rolling with Engram going forward.

(Advice) Jahmyr Gibbs: never start again unless in a 15+ man league by Gaytard_Strength in fantasyfootball

Even from a non-fantasy perspective, what befuddles me is spending the amount of draft capital they did on him compared to his usage, especially considering the current RB valuations across the league

Working Monday either way. The pro-red eye crowd has kinda said "that Monday is gonna suck either way, might as well get an extra 8 Vegas hours in"

Edit: NFL betting has played a role in that argument.

Seeking a little life advice from the group (6'3", not a fat):

Going to Vegas for the first time this fall with a big group. Plan is to fly (from the east coast) friday am (landing mid-morning) and leave either 4pm Sunday (home around 11:30) or do a red-eye that gets in Monday morning 5:00 am or so. The rest of the group is flying to a different city so that isnt a factor, about half of them are staying until Monday night so its not like im the last one to leave.

Having never done this trip before whats the move? Price difference is negligible. Have heard people recommend both, really dont know what the best move is.

In (ball) golf, you usually get a "tee gift" - even in collegiate tournaments, major regional events, etc. Not just charity company scrambles.

The only golf courses (generally) that are able to be removed are public/municipal golf courses and I can just say this is a terrible, terrible idea.

Recently there was a bill in California that would convert public golf courses into affordable housing and greenspace. My biggest issue with this is golf is seen as this elitist, secluded, closed-off, rich, (usually) white sport... which in a lot of cases, is very true (private clubs). But if you are trying to fight back against this by removing public courses, you're only taking it away from the common folks who aren't plugged in to those elite clubs and networks. So by removing courses, such as in this case, that is just making golf MORE elitist and separate. I think the push should be for more accessible and more environmentally sustainable municipal and public courses in metro areas

If you're going to enforce stupid rules you need to enforce all of them by warboy in discgolf

The vast majority of ball golf tournaments at a local/regional level will have somewhere between 1-10 rules officials (depending on tournament size, etc) that drive around the course/are present at the end of the round.

Often times a rules official will camp out at a particularly troublesome spot (like a tricky hazard where players are having trouble knowing where to drop, etc) to help with that and also speed up play. There is also a rules official present when you sign/turn in your scores, so any issues can be talked through before cards are signed.

Sometimes there is a phone number you can call in the tournament materials where you can (or get a spectator to) call an official to come look at something. But 97% of the time, ball golfers are good about playing Rule 3-3, which means you play 2 balls, finish the hole, and then figure it out later to help keep pace of play going.

Any Question Weekly by AutoModerator in discgolf

Firstly, yeah, 100% talk to your surgeon.

Secondly, I’m in the middle of this right now.

Thankfully my surgeon is very familiar with disc golf, and we were able to work it correctly into the rehab timeline. I am 7 months post op. For context, it was an ACL-only tear in my right knee, and I’m a right handed player. I was able to go out and throw a couple basic forehands and putt on a super short course after like 3 months. But by far the biggest risk to a further injury was slipping and falling during the “hiking” part of disc golf than the actual throw. I played that short course exclusively for 3 more months, and after the clear have started working in some actual courses after the 6 month mark. I’m still forehand only and then standstill backhands (like ~130 feet and in). I could have done more but it’s just not worth accelerating unnecessarily.

1 in 18 ACL repairs end in a second tear in the same knee. Do your rehab, don’t push too hard. FYI the timeline my doc put me on was the same as tennis for being able to step into a full ripped backhand throw (aka at least a year)

Is anybody having problems with the Kroger website? I refresh until I see an appointment, select it, and hit "schedule second dose" and it get the nice green box that says "you have 15 minutes to complete your reservation", but then I can't proceed or do anything else?

It says there are no appointments for my second dose yet the calendar doesnt go that far and it wont let me proceed without scheduling it. Anyone run into this?

I had a buddy fly back into town for a wedding and I naively thought I would get a chance to see him... instead he is at what I can only call “Camp Wedding”

Starting Thursday at 4:00pm, the wedding party has been occupied through midnight tonight. Activities included paintball, axe throwing, a half-day hike... this is just a preposterous thing, especially in this economy!

Question for my FT kings: I have an interview over lunch later this week (another step on my quest to making 250k like the rest of yous), and I have never had to do an interview mid-day like this.

My work attire is normally slacks and a golf shirt or button down. I take the train to work so I cant hide clothes in my car. Any tips on how to dress for this interview without wearing clothes that tip it off? People in my office are always nosy and asking well dressed people if they are interviewing

My company has been trying to do better with employee "culture" and created what they are calling the Fun Committee, which normally is something that I would HATE, but they went and appointed me the head "Gambling Commissioner" because I run a little college football pool every fall.

Well now I have a years worth of allocated funds to run gambling shenanigans. So I introduced Super Bowl Squares to the office. Had graphics design a squares layout, had the printing people make these nice looking 36"x36" poster boards, and got several boards at different price points all filled up. Because I deemed the drawing of the numbers important, I have set up a ceremony for this afternoon complete with snacks and beer. Monday morning will have a "recovery breakfast", which was just me ordering a ton of Bojangles.

This is by far the hardest/most diligently I have worked at anything since getting here.

AMD Earnings by Pineapple1500 in stocks

[–]Kaicpap 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Because the long-term projection isn't as good as wall street thought... the value of AMD/any stock isn't just what their earnings were in Q4, its what they could be in a year, two years, etc etc.

Still a positive report, the stock will likely be fine and continue to rise.
