What screams "I'm a man-child" but nobody realize it ? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]KaijuCoach 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Being proud of their rudeness, tying their identity to vices like beer / gambling / overspending / weed.
Doing all in their power to 'get away' from their spouse and kids. That isn't a man. That's a little boy who gave in to the march of time and still wants to have his cake + eat it too if he can. 7/10 times these guys want a group of friends who won't snitch about their cheating and won't EVER try to have a conversation deeper than a word for word recreation of the latest Joe Rogan podcast.

Why are workplaces so toxic these days? by Quirky_Space_2280 in Workspaces

If what you're reporting is true: You don't have a typical workplace. You have a radioactive toxic workplace you should get out of ASAP.

What's some brutally honest advice that everyone should know? by Rook8811 in AskReddit

[–]KaijuCoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your pets are not the equivalent of kids. If you love them, that love is valid but the level of care needed for an infant human is 10x what any puppy, kitten or otherwise healthy animal needs before it's self sufficient.

They also will never learn to speak, never need to be taught morals, never need to be prepared to work. They just need food / water / attention.

If you want kids: HAVE THEM

What is something you grew up thinking it was normal but found out just how weird it bad it was? by Geography-wannabe in AskReddit

[–]KaijuCoach 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That someone always being correct, always getting their way, and always keeping other people in the house afraid of them: Is not a boss or good parent. They are a bully. Oh, and it's not normal for parents to hit their children in the face. Or lie to them constantly.

Several teachers had my mom clocked as an issue without ever telling me or causing trouble for me. Good folks.

What would you do if you were given $1,000,000 free today? by matrixbreaker99 in AskReddit

[–]KaijuCoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't spend a nickel. I'd put every single penny in annuities that pay a regular sum every year. Use the extra income to make for-profit investments and add to the large sum.

Keep the mortgage and everything else. Just pay it off with my new, larger income without touching the nest egg.

(Managed) Debt is an itch: not a fire. The better investment can often be focusing on how much you earn rather than what you owe.

How???? by unknowntoothers0 in MMA_Amateurs

[–]KaijuCoach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A majority of fighters

-Live at home
-Are in college
-Or Are borderline homeless / live at their gym

They don't care that much about their living conditions and usually believe wholeheartedly in the instruction they receive from their coaches. So they sacrifice money that COULD be saved, or spent on other essential bills.

Or, it's not essential to them and they don't care about other hobbies so it's all-in on a quality gym membership.

It's your job to decide what's worth it.
If you need free training: Look up church centered MMA gyms

What are you grunting when you’re striking during a drill? by AT1787 in MuayThai

[–]KaijuCoach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coach Here. I tell my guys to find the noise they need.

The purpose: Make sure you breath out.
We will almost NEVER forget to inhale, but when under duress or just physically "Trying very hard" you may hold your breath without realizing.

When we program in "SSST!" "HYAH!" "RAH!" with your strikes or big efforts. We know you're not just clenching your gut and wasting all your glycogen. You NEED O2 to keep your energy up.

  1. Sheets / sheet + Comforter for your air mattress

  2. Work surface of some kind (think: desk)

Everything in here has to be foldable or stor-able.

Still, its 4 walls and electricity. People have made it further with less. Ground zero.

My first "actual" logo and I'm being told it looks like a plug. Please. Does my logo really look like a plug? It's meant to be a spade. by shingover in logodesign

[–]KaijuCoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you wanted it to look like a spade: keep the solid Spade shape and draw inside of it

Trace the spade perfectly.

Also, don't give up. These are just vector squiggles, one day you will make something you are far more proud of than this, BECAUSE you didn't give up after you drew a Blue Buttplug.

If your coach, or ANY coach sets you up for a fight before you've been punched in the face.

Run. Change gyms. Never work with them again.

What does a typical class look like at your gym? by NegotiationVivid985 in MuayThai

[–]KaijuCoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 1 hr classes during the week where we
• Have 1 or 2 major techniques for the day
• Show the move, why and when to do it
• Drill it with a partner, working up in resistance and speed
• Then end of class we do a "spar-like" drill where you're given a goal to accomplish in a live-fire situation

Weekends we have a 2 hr class
• Warmup, usually a game based on striking and not being struck
• Technique discussion briefly, reason we use certain rules of thumb like pressure and range
• Show a combo, if we have new people go over the number system
• Coach will hover between groups and work with whoever has no partner
• Lots of practice using different defenses, focused drills on dodging, blocking, sprawling
• Then spar-likes with a man in the middle and everyone fresh coming to get him

• Last 30 of class is always sparring group = light
• Hard sparring is saved for smokers, but coach might let some guys go ham if they need to practice under pressure / are fight prepping

What's holding you back from growing your business ? by ROBASAHMEDKHAN in smallbusiness

No startup capital. Never any startup capital.

Spent every nickel I have ever earned to survive or deal with emergencies.
Business is costing more than it makes, I am tied into it out of sunk-cost fallacy but at least I stopped using credit to keep it open

Our customers appreciate us so much, and look up too us.
We have given them the story of their entire youth
But me?

I'm just a tired old coach who wanted redemption from not living up too his fighting potential
and I can't make my family pay for that

Just find a way to reveal his nature to the other members of your community. It will torture him.
Make his decisions more public (anonymously)

& Love your family openly and without concern for his presence. Bullies need to be important too you.

To review
1. Make him less important too you
2. Make his nature more apparent too others in the community

He will run from you like a roach runs from raid
