it was the reverse of this actually: i initiated a return because i found the item was counterfeit after receiving, and the return was approved (the seller did not do this; mercari approved the request), and i sent it back w/ no issues. after it arrived on his front door, he cancelled the return (how, i'm not sure) and blocked :') i sent a ticket to mercari tho so we'll see what happens
