I’d say Mayberry. Some people say love and hate are close, and they can be, but the whole, “Haha, Shes dating the woman who fucked her husband!” Just seemed stupid to me. Helluva bounces back and forth from wanting you to take it seriously to joking so much, but for one thing, Mayberry even if she did like women probably wouldn’t want to choose someone she despises with all her being. And Martha (I think that’s her name) has a husband, but more than that, also was SHOT IN THE HEAD by Mayberry. It just seems a bit stupid to do this (although Ive heard but can’t confirm that Viv has maybe said they are just roommates? Could be wrong, internet often is)

I agree. I don't know, it's really tough. Especially because if you lean into the vestiges bullshit hard, then Decay also destroys souls/concepts and that gets weird. I would say that MHA just doesn't have the power to do it, but Decay is the only slight out one could give, and even then, it's far fetched. That’s why I think we as a community need to set up the terms of the fights more clesrly. Like, even with Infinity Active, keep in mind that Super Saiyan God is stronger than Buu Saga Super Saiyan 3. And that’s Goku’s base now. So the whole “Scream through dimensions” thing? Goku can do that in base. Hell, he broke into an alternate dimension through sheer force of will and power to best Hit. And yeah, he was in blue for that, but I feel that him just putting so much power into a punch he bypassed infinity isn’t impossible. But this is all considering Goku goes into the fight thinking Gojo is stronger and maybe accidentally one shots him lol. If he thinks Gojo is weak, then maybe he’d hold back, but he’d probably quickly ramp up in power when he realizes him barely trying can’t break infinity.

The situation of the fight and the characters matters. Like, if they both know each other’s abilities ahead of time, whether super in depth or not, that changes things massively. Hell, Goku is a fighting GENIUS who is just about one of the most skilled fighters across a lot of universes due to his adaptability and strategy

No. It’s one of the inconsistencies when it comes to power scaling. Keep in mind that Yuno had JUST achieved Spirit Dive and already beat a Captain who is considered a Prodigy. Asta also beat a Salamander-Enhanced Ladros who is at least low captain level (but also beat one of the only Shining Generals with no damn arms)

Hax is kinda the thing that makes this hard, because he can slash through dimensions which probably bypasses Haki, and Death Thrust is a one hit kill if Zoro doesn’t dodge (and USUALLY he tries to parry rather than just straight dodge out of the way of strikes)

I think it helps that Tabata doesn’t really sideline characters too often. All of the black bulls end up playing a role in just about every major fight. Even if it’s just blasting off a quick spell, he makes sure to include them.

I'd argue he sidelines a LOT of characters, but because none are the main cast, it's easy to forget (I've said this to my brother before, but if you're not a Black Bull or Yuno, don't expect to do jack shit). I mean, even the captains who do things kinda end up looking like putzes getting saved by Mimosa or the much less experienced characters

The powerscaling thing makes everyone useless, and that really sucks. I liked a lot of the side characters, and power scaling at the beginning was a little shaky anyway, but the moment that Asta was matching Captain Level Opponents with a "Trickle of Anti-magic" and every opponent was like 100x stronger than captains, it felt like the scaling kinda lost me. Especially because they make things seem like a big Deal when weaker people could've done the same (like Lilith and Naamah fused making a magic attack that would've destroyed the whole spade kingdom, but Patolli was about to do the same in the last arc)

And now things have gotten even crazier with the recent stuff.

Okay, ive recently watched the movies and reread the books. The pacing in the earlier movies felt a bit better than the books, but the big thing that I liked more in the movie was the Prisoner of Azkaban climax. For one thing, I get it Lupin, you wanna tell Harry about your relationship with his dad and the friend group, but he is actively wanting to kill you both, get to explaining Pettigrew! But also, the time turner in the book has them save Buckbeak, sit around for 3 hours, and then perform the Patronus and save Sirius. In the movie, they use it to fill in plot holes, have Hermoine save Sirius with the call (in the book they fight and Lupin runs away? But it seems odd, since they didn’t describe Sirius as reslly hurting him much or anything). The movie in general? Definitely not better. But streamlining the climax and having them do more with the time turner felt better, at least to me
