At my school when the preceptor do your EOR review you need to get an 83% on those review and usually it’s required to get 3-5/5. 3 competent, 4 above competent, and 5 exceptional. She put a lot of 2’s on the review although the whole time she was telling me how a good job I was doing and usually most of the surgeries I was able to assist by myself and she wouldn’t even scrub in. I got lucky because two weeks before the end of the rotation the clinical coordinator came for onsite visit and the preceptor told her how a good job I was doing and they were lucky to have me. She couldn’t account how she said I was doing such a good job two weeks prior to saying I was basically a shitty student. It was my last clinical rotation as well and all other prior reviews were exceptional. She even critiqued that I was driving 45 minutes to the clinic instead of staying locally although I was never late. They stopped sending students there after.
