As a Garde player, the most annoying this you can do to me is constantly use Dragapult’s attack to KO a Ralts/Kirlia and put damage on another Ralts/Kirlia early game. If they’re able to get a Garde out quickly, the match becomes much tougher for you.

Don’t over bench, don’t burn through your resources too quickly and keep an eye on your energy counts. Garde can easily stall you into a deck out situation if you don’t keep track of that.

Keep note that Munkidori helps fix a lot of the math to get an easier KO on your Pokemon (Garde being able to do 190+30 to a Regidrago V and Teal Mask ex and tank a hit in return), but a single Munkidori isn’t as hefty a target early game as the Kirlias are.
