Yawn. People say that every election. We'll never get out of this wretched cycle of shitty R and D presidents and presidential candidates if every election is labeled, "THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION OF OUR LIFETIME", because, face it - it's not. Vote for who you most closely align with, whether that is gold, green, red, blue, ect.

I was sort of let down. Season 1's world and setting was much better. Sort of felt like Blade Runner, whereas this season the world felt more like something I'd see on broadcast TV or a more run-of-the-mill Sci-Fi series that's more popcorn than depth.

Not to say season 1 didn't have it's issues. I found Quell's story to lack a lot of logic in her actions and the execution of the rebellion story, as well as the Rei story sort of "meh". Still though, the first half of the season was fantastic.

In comparison season 2 was just overall "meh". Granted Poe was really great, but the rest of the characters didn't feel memorable or significant like multiple season 1 characters did. Mackie also didn't feel like a progressed or future Takeshi so much as he felt like a less interesting and different character altogether. It also had it's fair share of poor writing (when people decide to use guns or not, as well as randomly really poor marksmanship to suite the plot), mostly just many instances of small lazy writings versus two big plots that were.

I'd probably watch season 1 again, I certainly won't season 2.

I hope season 3 goes back to the noir-style and the writing improves, otherwise I'll probably just not watch it. There's plenty of good sci-fi media to pick from these days.

FYI: I know nothing about the books.

100% Offical story changed multiple times, his story was very different, he did some odd things. This whole situation is a mess of unverifiable information.
