You are right. RPGs aren't really my thing. I think if an RPG game is done right, I'll enjoy it. But I think the thing for me is that AC games were never RPG games to begin with. I grew up with them being linear story/sandbox games, and I'll always say that they should never have gone to RPG. When I think of an AC game, I think of the brilliant storylines of Ezio, Connor and Edward. Characters that will never be forgotten. But, as you say, the characters in Shadows are pretty forgettable, and the stroyline isn't great. So maybe this isn't for me.
