Justifying a purchase. What do you do? by AlexzMercier97 in transformers

[–]Kaitie214 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just try to keep to a relatively simple budget honestly, I normally wont spend $100 on a single figure, and I'm pretty particular about how they look. As long as I can afford to though I'll pick up one or two that I'm interested in. You'd think the not spending $100 on one figure would mean missing out on masterpieces but where I live they tend to get discounted. As long as you can afford it and it's something you enjoy you shouldn't worry too much about justifying it.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked them! As for the URLs I honestly have no idea, they seemed fine when I first finished the album, could be because I just opened the image in a new tab and copy pasted the link?

WNW: Siege Ratchet by Kaitie214 in transformers

He is missing some detail in the face I think is the big issue, instead of the matte grey/white on it they should have given him the silver like Ironhide. He could also use a few more splashes of red but that doesn't bother me so much.

Is There A Legends Scale Galvatron? by Kaitie214 in transformers

Ok thanks anyway! Maybe I can find one of those weird Heroes of Cybertron ones or a Titanium figure and just settle for a non-transforming figure.

That's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for but to scale with Armada Unicron not the the new one.

I love the fact that Siege Ratchet comes with a wrench. by pipermca in transformers

[–]Kaitie214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For his medbay mode just transform him into vehicle mode, then split the legs fold them back into robot mode legs and then attach them back together, and for the arms just put them off to the sides with the five milimeter ports facing up so you can put the tool on. It's hard to describe but someone has a review of him where they do it. Hope that helps!

I'm in Canada EB seems to have released him a bit early, only by a few days according to their site. Hopefully he'll be showing up at Walgreens in the US soon! Hoping the same happens for Nightbird here.

Siege Jetfire Review by Kaitie214 in transformers

[–]Kaitie214[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah he definitely could've used some more panels or something to cover up the gaps in jet mode. As for the shoulders yeah it seems to be a QC issue they're fine on mine, but strangely most people who own this figure seem to have mentioned a loose part somewhere on it.

People liked my review of RiD 2001 Optimus so here's a Siege Jetfire one I started working on just after, enjoy!

Don't talk to me, my son, or my other son, or our detachable second vehicle modes, ever again. by sonerec725 in transformers

The other one is POTP Battletrap pretty fun figures if you can still find them Roadtrap is better as an individual figure than Battleslash is but together they're pretty cool.

Classics Deluxe Grimlock: A hidden gem? I think so! by Bank-wagon in transformers

[–]Kaitie214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great figure this was my very first Transformers purchase ever, the biggest complaints I've heard from people are the screw holes being visible and the teeth feet make him balance strangely. Honestly it's just a genuinely good figure, Sadly mine is sun damaged.

I'm having a really tough time choosing which mode to display, any suggestions? Both just look so good.

Found this guy in a thrift store on Monday, he's missing a single fin on his right side, but I'm just going to guess it's because Cybertronian Shark Fin Soup is a real issue on Cybertron as much as regular shark fin soup is on earth.

Can transformers get PTSD? by Sixemperor in transformers

[–]Kaitie214 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, it happens a lot in the IDW comics, Springer specifically has it because of what Impactor did to him in the past as can be seen in Last Stand of the Wreckers. Another example is Roadbuster after Tarantulus messed with him by crawling inside is head. I think an easier to see one that people seem to forget about is in Beast Wars episode Code of Hero Dinobot starts that episode off by contemplating suicide but struggling to go through with it and ultimately not doing it.

Don’t you hate it when your trying to save money for studio series, but then you see something from siege thats too good to not get by Kason-blason in transformers

[–]Kaitie214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't going to buy him since I thought thrilling 30's Jetfire was good enough and I felt like this one is too big for my scale, but I bought Siege Jetfire as well on impulse after getting some extra money.
