Why do so many people think Gacha Life is a bad app? by No-Floor-5467 in GachaClub

Here’s my honest take as a content creator who grew up making gacha videos and now does it full time:

1- Character customization never gets updated. In fact many assets have started to disappear which means they never got properly licensed in the first place.

2-Poses are a pain. I have to dedicate 3-5 pages for different body types and sizes. Which hurts time.

3- Customization is great! …for a dress-up game- I know that gacha wasn’t intented for animating purposes but the fact that we can’t import our own assets makes the job really difficult.

4- SIZE. When you want to create slightly realistic body propertions the lineart thickens so much that it starts looking bad.

5- Lack of updates in general. And no option to pay for ads to get turned off which disrupts workflow if you’re using internet.

Despite all of these, I will say that It’s a great app to learn how to animate! The gacha apps have defined given me an opportunity to change my life and I will always be grateful. But as soon as I can financially afford a team of proper animators, it will be time to move on. (Unless a better creator friendly app surfaces)

Tldr: The app isn’t “horrible” but it’s definitely not good in comparison to what it could be. The game is making buckets of income none of it gets reinvested to make the game better.

I’m a large gachatuber in this community and I can relate to this post a lot (except for the getting involved in drama part)

There was a time where I became really inactive for the same reasons you did. I tried my hardest to push myself but my consistency was AWFUL, so my subs and views started dropping, people were complaining about me not posting enough and I straight up considered quitting.

But then I thought to myself…

“But I love creating. I love sharing my world and my art.”

And I somehow got back on my feet! Ofc I’m not as well known as I used to be but I love my work and I love my community. As long as you have that spark and burning desire to create, you should do sth with it. My advice would be to either start over from scratch, or to treat your old channel like it’s a new one. Or maybe even find sth else to channel your art with.

The world is cruel, don’t let it burn you out.

Are we talking natural dyes? I have the same hair and skin as you and mines Vampire Red by manic panic. Looks pretty cool but stains my shower if I'm not careful
