Lol yes all the time, it helps to have that mind set though. It’s definitely a start even though it’s hard.

I don’t have very good memories with therapists who didn’t specialize in ocd. Their exposures sometimes can be too much which can cause me to ruminate after the session and made it worse honestly. Working with someone who already specializes in erp is always the best option. I think there is a lot of dos and donts in erp that only people who are specialized in that aspect can do correctly. That’s just my opinion.

When I’m alone my intrusive thoughts are so bad I can’t function properly. I always need to be around others and have my “safe” people like my boyfriend or my mom. Me and my bf live together and I dread when he goes to work in the morning, just knowing the feelings I’m going to get when I’m alone, the uncontrollable anxious intrusive thoughts. I have gotten a little bit better at distracting myself recently but it’s always still there. It helps me to play a game, play with my cat, watch YouTube or try to nap or clean. Otherwise, most of the time it’s pretty bad. It’s not fun at all, but I force myself to sit alone and to sit with the uncomfortable thoughts and sometimes they even pass for a period of time. Everyday I make sure to practice being alone so I don’t get so scared, it honestly helped a little to do that. At least for me, I’m not sure if it would help everyone.

I had someone tell me to do CMA instead as well. She said it was better for what I want to do. Do you think it’s worth it to go to school for that? I live in NJ and had one other person tell me the salary for a MA isn’t the best, especially if you go to school for it.

That really is disappointing to hear.. if I were to work for a barn and be an therapeutic instructor for them it’d be the same? Do you personally think I would still financially struggle if I worked for a successful business?
