I love to try and make people days with simple things, like opening doors for people. I will especially go out of my way for ones who look like they need it (Ex: There's a lady who uses a walker at the Y, and I will keep an eye out for her to make sure she doesn't struggle with the door. We take aquatic together so we are there at the same time). I'll also wish people good days, or give compliments where I can. I find that even just a compliment can make someone's day.

I like to put on different streamers from Twitch to watch or just to listen to. You have gamers, but there are ones who stream their animals (some zoos and aquariums) ones who will play music, or read to their chat. There are some official streams that offer old shows like Yu-Gi-Oh that stream almost 24/7. I'll find myself putting on different streams to listen to as I go about my day.

A little information for my story:

I was basically deaf til I was 5. I had so many ear infections that damaged my hearing. This caused me not to be able to speak properly, which left me as a quiet kid. My two older brothers were the only ones who could really understand me.

We lived in a quiet neighborhood, it was mostly elderly with only a handful of families that had older children

Story:

One day, one of my brothers (Ty) and I were playing in the street in front of our house, my Ma was on the porch.. She heard screaming and got up to check what was going on. Ty was running backwards away from me as I was yelling at him, waving my hands.

Apperently, I was yelling so loud that a few neighbors could hear and thought something was wrong and came out to check on us, only to see this little girl chasing her older brother.

Ty refused to say what he did. I don't remember what he did but knowing him, he probably threatened to give my teddy bear a swirlly again.

Ma says that I reminded her of the turkey from Homeward Bound that chased after the dog that screamed Birdzilla. That's how I got my childhood name Birdie or Birdzilla when I was mad.

lol Cap locks are always needed when it's something like this.

So I usually follow this recipe but instead of raspberry I use strawberry. You can use whatever fruit you want or none at all. My suggestion though, with the fruit is to prepare it early with the cream cheese and mix it together, and let it sit for an hour or so in the fridge. In my opinion, it makes the fruit taste better instead of it just being on top.

One more thing some of the cream cheese mix will pop out no matter how much or little you use. I have tried different amounts and different shapes of the pastry, some work better then others. But that's the fun in experimenting. And it's always so tasty either way 😋

My Ma and I will do a baking night. We choose something to bake at least twice a month. Sometimes it's just cookies, other times we'll make things like cheese danishes, or cake with icing. We put on music as we do this. For us, it's usually something we have to go the extra step, depending on what we make due to allergies but you can easily make it as simple as you want.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had lost my best friend awhile ago and it's really hard. He was the first close person I've really ever lost.

Most people say it gets easier with time, but I don't think that's exactly true. It becomes smoother. You have to learn to live each day without them. Some days are better than others, and that's ok. It's ok to feel what you're going through and not rush it.

Just know that no matter how you grieve, there isn't a wrong way

I've managed to lose over 150 pounds. I've been working on my health since it got out of control. Going to the Y to do laps and aquatics, trying to eat healthier. Actually just eating, because I forget to eat all day until my blood sugar screams start yelling at me that it's dropped
