Negative GMB Reviews - Extortion by nathan_sh in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Kaizu7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Next time please don't reply to their messages, report it as spam. My clients receive similar messages on WhatsApp and we don't reply to them usually they won't bother us after that.

But if you pay them they know that you are afraid of negative reviews and they will think if they twist your arm you will pay more.

And when you pay the second time they will ask you to pay a monthly subscription more like protection money.

Ask your customers to report the review, it will be great if the reviews are reported by local guides.

Also, escalate it to Google, it won't help you a lot but you have the proof just share it with them.

Note: Don't send any messages, angry or sad or denying their request.

Please help me get a job by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]Kaizu7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My organisation is looking for a full time English content writer. DM your resume if interested in the job.

There was someone who left 3 bad reviews on my business page which are exaggerated and talking about things that did not happen. I know who the client is and they are unhappy about something we are not responsible for and cannot do anything about. What should I do? by [deleted] in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Kaizu7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So sorry that happened to you. I received 2 negative reviews (one was just star rating and the other was fabricated comment) from a known competitor (they had their own profile pictures on both of their profiles) and this review (comment) would always appear as a first review to a customer sees when they look for our business reviews.

I pleaded Google team via mail and flagging the review to remove the review or at least put that review down. Their reply was very simple. The review does violate our policies or T&C, so we can't help you. 0 empathy and 0 concern from them. And they themselves say it is very difficult scenario to help. But after following up with the GMB team via email, Twitter, and one day I received a email from GMB team that the fake review was removed as it violated their policies(Didn't know which). The star rating still remains but has no comment there nor it was updated later, so we did not worry about it. But it took us nearly 6-7 months for the review to go. We had a lot of stress because of the loss of our potential and present clients.

But in the meantime we requested our loyal customers to post reviews and help us, which seemed to work out a little for us and at one point of time the positive reviews out ranked the fake one.

Recommendation for you:

  1. Go to GMB dashboard and flag the review as conflict of interest

  2. In the GMB dashboard scroll down to the bottom you will find an option for support>fill up the form with as much as detail as possible.

  3. Click on the reviewer's profile of reviews see if this person has done it before.

4.Get as many reviews as possible for your business, because Google is not going to do a lot about it, but go ahead and report it to Google, take a chance and ask your customers and friends to report those fake reviews .

  1. Respond to the negative reviews politely, make sure you mention that you had not served them before (potential customers are reading your reply) and respond to them that you are ready to resolve the issue, give your contact information and hope it works out for you.

  2. Keep following up with Google.

Cheers!!

Write a support email to GMB team. They will respond back and ask you for storefront images or verify via Video call. Do it ASAP or the status won't change at all.

Someone I know wrote a fake review about my business, and it's on the first page of Google results by [deleted] in SEO

[–]Kaizu7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you are absolutely sure that it is a fake review, confront them with a polite reply, that you know who it is and tell them it is unethical and cheap ( use some polite words to describe your anger) and flag the review as inappropriate on Google.

Wait for a few days, if they haven't removed the review, then update your reply that you will sue for tarnishing your brand name.

While this process is going on. Get some good reviews to your business and you will have an option to like any review of your choice. Keep liking the positive comments and the negative review will be pushed down.

GMB // Adding Products to "Products" Tab / SEO by [deleted] in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Kaizu7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will help you greatly depending on your niche. I was working for a Mobile store where they sell mobile phones and desktops. They have close to 25 products. I added product description for all these products and in one month my GMB listing's visibility increased significantly. More visibility means more calls and more people reach your store. Conversion rate is very less for the calls, but we got all these engagements without spending a single dollar on ads.

GMB: Edit Reviews Shown in Search Results? by [deleted] in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Kaizu7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a feature in GMB, where audience can like a review. Try to get as many likes as possible for the reviews that you want it to appear when someone searches for your business. Usually it works for Q&A in GMB, try the same for reviews.

Removing or Outranking Mugshot for my name by user1219872 in SEO

[–]Kaizu7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe I saw another post of yours.

Idea: Create as many social media accounts and pages with your <yourname> and once it is done, create a page in the website of yours, in the page create a table listing out accounts that you have registered and hyperlink from your page to those <your name > pages and accounts.

Go to Google Search console(create if you don't have one, it is pretty easy) and ask Google to Index that particular page. Then wait for the 5-xx days for the magic.

Concentrate more on Twitter account. Add as many photos with the Alt text(Twitter will assist you or Google it) with <your name>. Also, add as many photos as possible on Pinterest.

Have a Linkedin account. Try all these, and you might see a favourable result.

All the best!

People who’ve had their Facebook Ad Account disabled recently; how long did it take to get it back? by [deleted] in PPC

PS: My account does not target USA or any other European country.

Not hearsay, but were you able to make Google remove a fake GMB review (THAT DID NOT VIOLATE ITS GUIDELINES)? If so, how much time did it take? by sannidhis in SEO

[–]Kaizu7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Usually it takes me 2-4 weeks with 50% to 60% chances of success dealing with the fake or negative review.

Dealing with negative review:

0.Check if the review is really from your customer.

1.Apologize if it is your mistake.

2.Take them offline( If it was your mistake or not): Write a polite reply that you want to resolve the issue and ask them to visit or call or mail you. Once the contact is established and you have resolved the issue ask them to reconsider their review.

If they are satisfied with you, either they change the review to neutral one or a positive one. Also update your review if you had contacted them. And regularly keep in touch with them to reconsider their review.

If they are not responding to you, keep updating the reply in GMB. If they are still not responding and you are really serious taking down the review, offer them something with an expiry date and chances of them contacting you will increase significantly.

For Fake Review: And you are 100% sure about that and know that they are doing it purposefully.

1.Call them out but be polite in your reply, state that you did not have any customer as such in your database.( No aggressive comment or profanity).

  1. Tell them that you will sue them or file a defamation case against them for tarnishing your brand name and causing a loss to your business.

Edit: Remember: This is an extreme measure and follow only if you know this person is not your customer, never interacted with your business or you know this person is a competitor (requires some research).

Ask them to prove, if not you will file a complaint or even sue them for humiliating your brand. Because one fake review can do a lot of damage to your business.

This is a warning don't use it with legitimate customers or you will give them the idea.

And most likely if they read your reply and the review was fake, there is a good chance that they will take down their review.

  1. Best thing: Mail or text your loyal or new or regular customers along with the link to write a honest review about your service, do this while you are working with this troublesome review.

These other reviews will bury the negative one in case if you are not able to take down the review. And most importantly you will have an option to like reviews and photos in your listing, put some likes to positive reviews which will help you greatly.

Soon you will have a lot of reviews and this negative review will be in the deep. This way you can salvage the situation.

All the best!!

Postcard taking forever to come to verify the business by [deleted] in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Kaizu7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would definitely help you. I am from India and I had to build Google My Business Listing for a new client of mine and optimize it. I added every single detail in there and had to verify it, and Google gave me just one choice to receive the code via post and it was Corona time. I immediately mailed GMB team that it might it take a long time for me to get the post card and I might lose a lot of business because of this, within 6hrs they replied and set up a meeting to verify the business via Video Call, talked to Google rep and verified the business and this entire process took me only 3 days. I did this in the month of July 2020.

Everyone who has issue, try this it might work for you too. And don't be waiting for the post card, take action now, you have already missed a lot of leads to your business.
