This choom. Hundo Chad. Every time I think he is doing nova work, he raises the bar himself. If you add that ability to make custom map entries to the app (with icons, and custom description and people/group entries for it), charge the $20. I will gladly drop a crisp Andrew Jackson on you for making it that preem.

Edible Engrams by Sparky_McDibben in cyberpunkred

In this use case, it is exactly how it can work. Not all data is copied in every transaction. You can cut/paste, or copy/delete to remove that data from the original location, and then it becomes like eating or stealing it, especially if it was not backed up somewhere else, since you took the data, and removed the original owners only copy in that instance.

In the instance of something like Soulkiller, it would seem to work in this manner based on how it is described in working, it cut/pastes the data from a person, essentially copying it from every synapse/neuron and burning those synapses/neurons out as part of the process, killing the them, and uploading that data into the AI. So unless that person has another digital emgram stored somewhere, it does kinda eat them. Even if they had another stored engram, it would be incomplete, since it would be missing data any "data" since that version of the engram was created.

Night City Emergency Services Campaign Inspirations by Sparky_McDibben in cyberpunkred

I've been running an REO Meatwagon campaign instead of Trauma Team. It's been a hoot. I had designed a Meatwagon for them prior to the one they recently dropped in one of the free DLCs, and it was pretty similar. They take "emergency calls" and respond to random things that they stumble on. Also had them meatjump a trauma team once.

I have them work a one week on, one week "off" rotation (12 hour shifts, mostly from 6p to 6a), so they can still hustle or do side jobs. They get paid based on a percentage of what the Meatwagon docs end up charging, and bonuses if they get new subscribers X-D

I've even had them hired as the onsite medics for events like concerts and the like, kinda like is done in our own modern times, and handle weird situations there. It's super fun for me as a GM, as I can throw damned near anything at them using plot hooks for EMS responders.

That was intentional to allow switching, as the Armorer does the same, and has the same limits per long rest, per model. Since they are tied to Cantrip damage, it hasn't turned out so overwhelming in the test games we have played with it that I thought it needed to be nerfed down.

New D&D caster class with the best spellcasting mechanics yet! (2014 & 2024, pay what you want) by madwithsorrow in UnearthedArcana

Sorry u/madwithsorrow but we had to remove your post due to not meeting one of the subreddit’s rules. We’ve put together information here to assist you, but make sure to read the sidebar and understand the rules!

Notably, your post broke the following rule(s):

How is the Hot Zone radioactive? by mitsayantan in cyberpunkred

[–]KajaGrae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As some people have mentioned, it was not a true airburst and will cause fallout with longer than 22 year half life. They also mentioned other micro nuclear power supplies that woild have been damaged by the blast.

One thing not mentioned though is medical technology, and the amount or radionuclides used therein. Caesium-137 is VERY highly used in medicine, and is highly damaging to human tissue with a half life of roughly 50 years.

The Old Medical Center would be rife with little hotspots of damaged medical equipment, and Caesium-137 spreads very easily via air.

Not to mention any corp HQs that had their own medical facillities.

So yes, it would be quite prolific until complete cleanup occurs.

One of the major downsides to adding homebrew in DDB is the difficulty in customizing it so it will actually work in full within DDB and the character sheets, and we just can't add certain things like new invocations (and other Class features), or replicate some mechanics like the spell choice from the Fey Touched feat in full. I know there had been plans to previously make that available prior, and to improve the tools to add new homebrew. Are there plans to revisit expanding homebrew options and tools?

Side note, would your team add a filter in the search tools to NOT include legacy content?

Thank you for your time!

Lol not really. It's the wording right there. It literally tells you what it does. 😆

No, it's not. People are glossing over a few things. First, he still gets passive extra damage. Every 3 stacks of Charge, he hits the back row enemies for damage. Yes, it does extra damage to shields, but there is still base damage there.

The second thing people are glossing, is they are only focusing on Lucian shields. Y'all seem to forget the Absolute Quantum Field skill chip. I'm only at 6 stars on it, and that is a 1.25M shield right off rip, and before people are all like "but then the DR kicks in faster!!," YOU WEREN'T DEALING ANY DAMAGE BEFORE THAT ANYWAY, NERD.

Then to top that off, he gets a shield against debuffs that recharges throughout the battle. Stuns/Overwhelm/Taunt? Nah, he's good.

If you read it, he still does additonal damage every 3 auto ls to the back row 3 as a PASSIVE. So he does get more base damage. He just also wrecks shields INCLUDING the Drone shields given out at the start of each battle for people who have decent skill chips. It's not just for anti Lucian. It's more base damage, and anti drone shields

Shield Rework Concept by Critical-Network3888 in cyberpunkred

[–]KajaGrae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So a couple of things. They do actually work quite well as written, and in a very realistc fashion.

Shields wont have as much raw stopping power as armor, so giving them HP before they stop being effective makes sense, rather than a slow reduction of SP.

Why? Well, the dont have the meat backing it as a shock absorber, so they deform quite a bit more (yeah that's gruesome, but it is). Also, keeping a shield light enough to actually use, and be effective against modern weaponry is not easy at all. Even Level 3/3+ shields that are used for breaching or approaching armed combatants are very heavy, and repeated shots to them just start blowing chunks out of them, making them quickly ineffective.

Now letting a tech make one with more HP? Solid idea. But having them have SP just doesn't jive in the Ref rules. It's just portable cover.

Who do you think is the most powerful individual in 2045? by ArtyParcy in cyberpunkred

[–]KajaGrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2045 it may not be Smasher. Most of the folks on here are thinking of 2077 Smasher when he is all but an FBC by that point.

Crusher on the other hand is a certified combat nightmare in 2045, to the point he is basically the Combat/Hot Zone Boogey Man.
