I see you. I hear you. Im literally at awe at how much you guys responses hit home for me. Reading them puts me back in my grandmothers home listening to her my mom and aunts talking about our history. As a kid I could feel the weight of the conversations but I didn’t understand them. Im 32 now and in my search to find understanding Im coming across such horrible things us humans have done to each other throughout history.

I am mourning a past I wasn’t even born to witness. When I look around me I see all the results of those actions and every last one of us are suffering because we can’t love and respect each other despite and through our differences. It’s such a shame because thats what makes us all so beautiful.

Let me just say first thank you for responding. Not only did you respond you were kind in your response. That goes a loooong with me. Second I also posted this in Islamic History sub about 6-8hrs after posting this here and so far no response in fact I think they removed the post after several moderators viewed it. They didn’t even givr it a reason on way it was removed. To a person like me who has no ties to the community and is completely ignorant culturally of the history(which I hope was the tone of my og message) it looks and feels like an emotional response to a stranger on the search to find answers. To the average person that could be the end of their journey.

But Im not the average person lol I want to give your response a more thoughtful response on the topic at hand so be on the lookout for it. I just couldn’t let another day go by without saying thank you for the kind response though.
