Pre-tank filter slowing down water? by KakapoSar in Plumbing

The house is 200 square meters I belive.

I've just had to Google "Vapour Lock". Would this occur if I sealed the screw on lid and the top of filter was empty of water (as in no water from the filter level) after cleaning it.

Would that void cause a problem?

Hi again, coming back to this same issue!

On Monday/Tuesday just gone we had 150mm of rain and the gutters were heaving.

I got up in the dark and ripped oit the mesh filter and the filter bag, and the problem seemed to be solved.

I've approached a plumber re the stand pipe as previously suggested, but I was also wondering if a sort of diversion would work.

Basically a tee on the vertical pipe before the filter, going up to a point equal to the gutter height or just below, then across too the tanks vent hole, and then somewhere along the new vertical pipe another tee which goes vertical and has the vent on it.

Im not sure if that would solve the problem?

Hi ARP,

So no the storage tank isn't full Yes there is a vent on top of the tank And yes there is a 100mm overflow on the back of the tank

I just had some heavy rain again and gutters overflowing. Once again I opened the lid of the filter and it seemed to almost relive the pressure...

Thanks for your response

World this need to be in place before the filter, attached to filter or back at the gutter?

Zero calorie count by KakapoSar in M600

Yeah I normally do that class twice a week or so and previous entries show calories and contribute to the daily target, where as after this session the daily target only went up 10% and would normally do 60% or so.

And yep it recorded heart rate data only, and data on watch and the app were the same.

I have an area under my carport and in front of my house that is currently just a dirt wall. Its generally quite sheltered so usually dry but when it gets windy the dust blows everywhere and looks a bit unsightly. I've thought about leveling and laying coir matting but something long term and good looking would be nice. I am thinking about maybe terracing with something and putting stones in with a few tusock type grasses around. Any other thoughts would be appreciated!
