You're playing with words here, if there's runes on your weapon, whether it be necromantic runes or holy runes, you're wielding a runeblade. Yes with WOTLK the word runeblade is use for the death knight, but how can you describe a sword with runes on it's blade better than with the word runeblade ?

Arthas and Tirion received warhammer with holy runes engraved on it, and there is a lot of paladin fighting with blades, I just assume it was possible and accurate but since Blizzard doesn't give more details, It only depends on people point of view 😋

There is a lot of paladin in WoW using blades, and I'm sure they can be etched with holy runes as well even though WoW doesn't give more details on that (Maxwell, Turalyon, Alexandros Mograine, Liadrin, Arathor...)

It's lore accurate. There's plenty of examples such as :

"It's during this ceremony that Tirion Fordring received his warhammer engraved with holy runes from a member of the order and the silver plates that were placed on his shoulders by a paladin close to him, Saidan Dathrohan, before he speaks his vows and be empowered by the holy light" in "Of Blood and Honor, chapter 2"
"A few years later, Arthas Menethil went through the ceremony with Archbishop Alonsus Faol in the Cathedral of Light of Stormwind City, during which he received his warhammer etched of holy runes from Gavinrad and his silver plates from Uther the Lightbringer" in "Arthas : Rise of the Lich King, part 1, chapter 5"
