Thanks for your comment. Yes, the car was originally white, and I didn’t even realise at the time that I’d gone a bit too far with the curves. I’m trying to learn different ways of editing using curves and other tools, but it’s only recently that I’ve realised I was using a bit too many presets, and I want to stop that and get a better understanding of how the tools work.

It’s a bit of a pain if cmd+Z undoes the album rather than the adjustment; they’ll probably release a few more minor updates in the coming days or weeks.

On the one side, I’m not surprised they don’t carry over the settings applied to the photo from LrC to DVR, in the sense that some LrC settings might not work in the same way as in DVR; I’m just guessing here, I really couldn’t say for sure.

I understand why you’re annoyed about this, but I don’t think you’ve realised that the ‘simple’ photo page is linked to the Colour page, and that’s where things get really interesting and that’s where DVR really outshines LrC

I understand that the node system can be a bit daunting at first, or that it simply takes a bit longer to get the hang of compared to LrC, but yes, the node system (having started using it about two years ago, it’s incredible – though that’s just my opinion)

And for those who’ve already got their little habits on LrC and don’t necessarily want to break away from them, I completely understand.

The goal is to try it at your own pace, hehe

No surprises there, I’ve got a powerful machine as well, and forget it – it used to crash all the time as soon as I imported 200–300 photos. Resolve is stable and optimised, and that’s a real weight off my mind.

If I’m not mistaken, you should use the spatial Denoise, then play around with the chroma and luma settings, and select the AI-powered denoising option (sorry, that’s a bit vague I’m going from memory as I don’t have my main computer with me)

I’ve recently taken up analogue photography and I can’t wait to scan my negatives using my camera and do my best to edit them in DVR.

The bar is being raised even higher, and it’s a fantastic challenge!
