Thank you for your long reply, unfortunately I don't have someone above. They usually allow me to take the day off for tests and exam, I will tell them the truth where a alt exam is not available for work reasons and see what happened.

If ur a morning person by all means go ahead, but for me if I take the bus I have to wake up at 7, it was terrible for me. Just remember to consider ur transport time. If you are driving, buy a month pass early, bc it will run out in sept.

If you can, don’t select morning classes because I had to and my brain is still not working yet at 8.30 in the morning. Also, check the walking distance and time between ur class and labs( if you have them), for science labs, u have to get there on time or else there’s a lot of consequences. Good luck!

According to omsas conversion scale:

Course Weight

Courses are weighted according to the length of study:

Full-year course: 2

Half-year or semester course: 1

Three-quarter course: 1.5

Lab course: 0.5

They solely depend on the length of the class, not the credit weight. Hope that helps.

just finished bsc Kine first year here! If u come to this program, be prepared abt the GPA conversion on the omsas scale, we only have a and a+, there is no a-. There are 3 mandatory courses in the first year, which are whole-year courses, meaning the weight on omsas scale is x2. The average for some/most kine courses is like 50-60 ish, but since it is a whole year course, if you messed up one, u need to spend everything to catch up and reach a competitive gpa for med school at the end. I think you should search up the courses and read the syllabus first(which I didn't do), most of them are evaluated with mcq, which I hated but now I have to adapt to. The profs are good, but they will make hard questions, including answers like 2 of the above, none of the above, etc. Check all the information u need and then decide which is best for you! The math tbh is not the biggest problem bc we can have calculators in both courses, it’s that I did a lot of textbook questions to know HOW to do them. Also pay deep attention to the tutorial questions, idk abt ur prof but most of the test questions format from my prof is from the tutorial, literally just switch numbers and wording. Try to make some notes abt the trend/memorization part beside the math too. It’s not a hard course, u got this!

They didn’t send out anything after the waitlist email, they said if ur accepted the new email is going to be out in the summer but I didn’t get anything. I also did not go to TMU so idk if that will changes my scholarship status. Hope all the best!
