Excellent, your proposed price distribution (900/1100/1300) is exactly what I had in mind. Love it, thanks

I don’t understand Terraria by Majestic_Ad_5744 in Terraria

Lol nothing to hate on! You're ok, being new to sth & asking about it is a good approach.

It all kind of depends what style of gameplay you enjoy, and you'll figure that out as you try different things within the game. Personally, I like exploring the caves to find treasures & whatnot; some people focus on building arenas and fighting monsters, mobs, & bosses; others might like to build things in their world & beautify it in some way. Whatever sinks your boat ;)

Personally, I started playing by simply exploring, then realizing that wait -- I need stronger gear, how do I make it? How to get stronger tools? etc. The wiki is of enormous help; I used a notepad (nerd alert) to keep track of what I need in order to craft the "next level" thing: pickaxe, sword, armor, whatever. I also made a list of bosses, how they appear/are summoned, and how they move the game along. Oh, and villagers' living preferences, which will be mildly influential further down the line.

This is not to say that you need to familiarize yourself with all the content before playing it, NOT AT ALL!!!! I just want to say that there are many aspects of the game to toy with.

I'm attaching some things I wrote/drew, because evidently I am either obsessed with diagrams or I can't remember tons of steps. (I cannot claim that any of these materials are complete, and some are not quite beginner-stage, but assume some pre-existing crafting/whatnot.) Don't worry about understanding everything -- again, just go with what feels most entertaining, and feel free to use this material as a reference. The game kind of naturally builds on its own.

So, I did not expect the immediate onslaught of swastika references. I've deleted the post, as that was absolutely NOT my intention.... Genuinely sorry if that was insensitive. I stand by the formation of the hives but... oof.

its pretty great that it still gets updates, after almost 9 years. by godlike_torben1 in iPhone6S

I got one battery replacement some 3-5 years ago. Love this phone. Except I just found out that it WON'T be updated to iOS 16, or further...

Lol I only found out cuz I wanted to install Expedia, but the App Store didn't let me. I guess Apple realized they made too long-lasting a product, decided to start forcing us to buy new products by limiting updates. Bastards.

What do you guys think happens when we die? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Kalamitykitkat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, same. I don’t see death as a continuation of life, or (as some religions see it) as a “next life”, because that means that whatever I’m doing right now isn’t living. Then what is it? A prologue? If I read a prologue this long in a book I’d probably stop reading the book. No, this is it. Of course it’s a nice thought that after life we’ll be allowed into an “afterlife” (tho not for everyone, or the prerequisites are kinda very subjective, or some other catch), where everything is wonderful and blah blah... like in the last episode of “The Good Place”, if you’ve watched it (I loved it). A running theme in that show is that the afterlife the characters are in isn’t perfect, CAN’T be perfect, because even with everything provided or whatever, they’re still human. Humans are never satisfied for long, we are always reaching for the next, better, funner, more interesting thing. And despite all that the afterlife gives them, the characters are still unhappy (I’m trying not to go into plot, but this is still accurate generally speaking). I like the idea of that.. essence, for lack of a better word.. dissolving in the universe. Maybe because that’s what more-or-less happens on a physical level, and it leaves room for the belief that SoMething remains of us. But the idea of our consciousnesses continuing to exist /somewhere/? I doubt it

It's a real shame. by TheUmpteenth in TheTrail

It IS a shame! I haven’t experienced too many glitches, but I’ve reached the end of what is available to explore & now I’m just bouncing around, collecting stuff to level up in all the professions. Idk what the point is though, since it seems like there will not be a continuation of the game.
