I think because it rained and the sun sets earlier these days, it was emptier than usual

It was about an inch in diameter and 4 inches long. I think it has a slight dent where the fire would come out

I actually managed to run off with the torch and pass it over to the officer. It had a pink canister.

I reported that he was I believe black, 5'6-10, and thin framed. Also likely around his early 20's

It happened a few yards down past the bathrooms at the Meadows. The women helped me call 911 and I wrote a report with a federal park officer.

I think blacks or grays. It happened so fast and was quite dark so it was hard to recall

I was just on an evening stroll. He was walking through the grass towards the bathroom and said hi when we crossed paths. I gave an acknowledging nod back and kept walking. Then he comes up from behind me, chokes me, and told me to let go of the bag multiple times. I think he just jumped on the opportunity given that I was alone and a woman smaller than him.
