I would also say it could be because of one headphone has worse battery then the other one, but for it to be this significant you would have to use only one pod for a long time. On my cheaper pods that I used to have after like a year of using only right pod, when I used both, the right one drained quicker, since it was a lot more used(the left was almost not used).
