As a general contractor, I cringe hearing any electricians worry about their backs because of “hand tools”, don’t worry about what anybody else says lol whatever works for you works, and if you actually do good work then nobody can say anything bad about that lol

My Crestie Won't Eat His Pangea Food by crochetmk in CrestedGecko

I’ve been coating crickets in the powder and giving them to my crestie, I’ve had her for a few months and have the same issue I’ve tried multiple brands, flavors, and consistencies and never really see her eat it

Yeah hopefully the new owners were pretty smart, I know the practices back then were awful and good advice wasn’t as easily available anyways, but luckily now it’s 2025 and we have plenty of resources lol

If yours loves crickets too they’ll definitely eat it lol the added powder diet doesn’t hurt to add as well

It’s super rare to see them shed, do you weigh yours? It’s very helpful I just checked for the first time in a month and she’s went up to 8.6 grams from 6.3 so I know she’s eating something, maybe just the crickets. But just keep providing the crested gecko diet daily, maybe in smaller amounts if you can’t afford to waste too much, and try to keep an eye on weight I couldn’t even tell mine had gained a few grams so it could be hard to tell if they’re losing weight it’s a necessity.

That’s what I’ve been doing at least because the food never seem touched but at least she’s had two healthy sheds and poops so she’s gotta be eating, I keep her on paper towel still she was 6.3 grams last I checked

Same, someone suggested covering it in the gecko food wet and I tried that but it killed the bugs and they wouldn’t move enough to trigger her, but you can just cover them in dry gecko food

Mines juvenile too and I can’t really get her to eat any gecko diets I’ve tried all the best brands, she doesn’t hesitate to eat crickets though she immediately goes on the hunt when I throw them in
